The second Type-26 frigate, HMS Cardiff, returns to Glasgow today after being launched at Glenmallan. She was transported by submersible barge from Govan to Glenmallan last week. Cardiff will shortly move to drydock at BAE Scotstoun to begin fitting out alongside her sister ship, HMS Glasgow.

Belem made her maiden voyage as a cargo ship in 1896, transporting sugar from the West Indies, cocoa, and coffee from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes, France. In May 2024, she carried the Olympic flame for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics torch relay by sailing from Athens, Greece to Marseille.

Does the navy have enough ships to defend the carrier's and the country and do the carriers have aircraft?
nope they dont. for a proper carrier group you need minimum one destroyer for airdefence/anti surface two frigattes for airdefence/antisub plus one attack sub for antisub/antisurface. plus auxiallry and ofc an airwing of atleast 30-40 f35b plus anti sub helis. only that will take up all the resources for the next 20 years. most likely they will work together with allied ships like australia when in their vincinity or americans or whatever and have american us marines f35 as airwing.
Fresh munitions...off to war?

The UK wouldn't dream of sending that ship into a war zone because they'd be too worried it gets damaged.

Not bonkers it's for safety and security. The Glemallon ammunition storage facility is basically a hollowed out mountain. It contains vast amounts of the ammunition stocks of the UK and some NATO allies. Not something you can store in any old dockside warehouse.
The 1st place to be attacked in a war would be Portsmouth think about it,this is a under ground facility

Ugly bow - hopefully she will be fitted with catapults and arresters in the future - the bow lengthened and the ski jump omitted.

Aircraft squadrons are only embarked when deploying on operations or exercises.

Excellent video. I believe that this is the largest ship in the Royal Navy as it is slightly longer than HMS Queen Elizabeth.
