used to come here all the time as a kid. at least once a summer. lived at pitt lake just across from the boat launch for 12 years(1:00, just to the right of the rock point across the lake where the navigation light is its not blinking but you can see the post, house is gone now sadly just a bald spot) till the Katzie natives decided they wanted their land back after the 25 year lease was up. not an easy trip to make. first you need a boat as the lake is massive. then you need a ride after as its waaay up the logging raod. thanks for sharing this, it brings up so many memories. pitt lake is the largest tidal lake in north America. trust me it moves more then 3 feet, thats just the average. theres even seals in the lake too. swimming in the upper pitt river is insane as its straight glacier runoff and freezing cold, look at the colour. i cant believe you guys did this all in one day, ive always camped there. wow ive never seen an elk all the years i lived there.. not even a deer. bears and cougars yeah all the time. even in my house eating the cereal out the cupboards. thanks for the flashbacks.

Hello fellow Vancouverite. We have a condo in Old Town. When I saw you land, my poor little heart felt for you. PV is amazing even in the rain. And you are 100% correct less people. I head out Oct 1st each year. It's a tad cooler at 30😂 but the main difference is the rain. There is way less of it. It's exactly the same as April, but warmer. It's still low season, mostly locals and quiet. Sorry you got caught in the timeshare. Looks like you and your family had a great time.

There is a history about "Los San Friscanos" about coming from new spain ...and landing in several places along pacific ocean, in there request was puerto escondido , el faro de bucerias (bucarelis), manzanillo, mazatlan. puerto vallarta, san pedro, san francisco, san diego, every major city began with "san" ...san means "with god" or "within me"

So funny. We have visited Puerto Vallarta now 9 times in the last 18 years. In fact, we just got married at this resort you are walking through a year ago December 2022. We are timeshare owners because we have a little bit of extra money. It only cost us $6000. Riviera Nayarit is beautiful, in fact we are thinking of retiring in Bucerias. Thanks for your walk.

Thank you very much for sharing these beautiful videos! Lovely family👍My wife and I are planning for a 5-day visit to Baja in Dec and I was wondering whether to rent a car because this is only the second time we will be in Mexico. Your videos convinced me we should because of all the freedoms. How is driving and parking in Mexico? Any major differences in traffic rules from Canada or US I should pay attention to? I am writing down all the places you had meals and will follow your footsteps for these delicious food. Best regards!

I'm an experienced surfer and even I have had some close calls in the rip zone on Cerritos beach. You have to be very careful with the 'rip current', which is water washing back out as a result of the water flowing in to shore on the waves. If you get caught in this zone, you need to go back out to a less dangerous (smaller waves) spot and swim parallel to the beach until you find a spot without the rip current and let the waves help push you back to shore. When surfing grab your board and ride it in even in the rip zone and pray your leash doesn't break. Between Todos Santos and La Paz there are two Loncherias across the highway from each other that are a great place to grab a local style meal. Their meat (and possibly eggs and cheese) is locally sourced from the nearby ranch. Muy sabroso! When you look out to the ocean from the malecon, there is a big spit of land (mostly sand dunes) on the left half of your view. There is a development at the end of it. There are lots of nice spots for a picnic out there. On your right is Pichilingue and beyond some of the hills you can see past Pichilingue are Ballandra and Tecolote. Past the spit (or peninsula) on the left is the rest of the bay leading out to San Juan de la Costa. Some nice uncrowded spots along the coast out that way.
