Simple tune (KOTR March 2021)
I wrote this song for King Of The Riff on Riffhard.
It was supposed to be Nu-Metal style ... apparently;)
It's fairly simple, but I like it and I had a lot of fun writing it, so I decided to make a movie for it.
I hope you will like it
Thank you for watching :)
Napisałem tę piosenkę dla King Of The Riff na Riffhard.

Obviously there is plenty other videos of Ragnaroks, so it is worth to check as many as you can before making the final decision. Hi. Thank you :) I can't say that yes, it is worth spending all that extra 300 quid on Juggernauts. It is a lot of money and it depends on everybody's budget. I can only speak for myself and I can say that for me it was worth it. But, you need to remember a few things. Firstly, Alpha and Omega set, same as Ragnaroks are high output pickups, which makes them ever slightly less dynamic comparing to Juggernauts, which are actually bot as hot. Secondly, PRS has a mahogany body whereas Jackson has a basswood body. the mahogany is a little bit darker and it can give you this a little bit more muddy sound. I am sure you can compensate it simply by adding a little bit more of the top end and cutting the low end on your amp. Finally, I think the quality is better on PRS. This particular grey Jackson has few flaws in the finish and also 5-way switch had to be replaced already. Both PRS and Jackson had terrible plastic nut which should be replaced. However, with PRS you are getting a little bit more of the real deal spec (I mean the expensive version). You are getting 20 inches fretboard radius and Alpha and Omega set whereas in Jackson you got 16 inches radius (the latest models got that fixed with a baked maple neck with 20 inches radius) and Jackson pickups. So there are pros and cons to both guitars. I found Jackson better to play. For me, it is a more comfortable guitar. Also, I bought it with a plan to upgrade it anyway. If you have a budget to buy Jackson and upgrade it, you probably won't be disappointed, especially with the new version with the backed maple neck, it feels sooooo good. I have a video with it as well, feel free to check it :) But if you are happy with PRS and you are not happy about the sound, I would say try to cut the low end, add a little bit middle and top end and maybe cut a little bit of the gain? Obviously, I don't know what setting you have, but these would be the steps I would take, to try to fix issues that you have described. I hope this will be helpful somehow :)

@@jamjestrysiek thank you so much. This was so helpful. Yeah i have already tried cutting the low end and the sound it's not muddy anymore, but as i said you will still be lacking tightness and bite. The SD Alpha Omega are super clear, very nice pickups. Guitar it's super fun to play. Only thing i noticed is that the back of the neck it's supposed to be "satin" so it doesn't become sticky when you sweat, but mine became sticky only playing it for a week. That's why i want to give the Jackson a try. If i do i definitely will go with the updated version with the roasted maple neck. Also i find the neck on the PRS a little bit on the bulkier side, almost like a Les Paul. I like these shredding-like thin necks. And of course i will change pickups for BK and nut for graph tech black Tusq. How was your experience with the Blue matte edition? Did they really improved?

@@oscar.leon003 Hi. I am glad that I could help :) I have the glossy Chlorine Burst colour, not the matt one. I can't really speak generally, but after my experience with the old and new version of this model, the quality seems to be better. My PRS after a while started to be a little bit glossy on the back of the neck, due to playing a lot, but it is not sticky by any mean. I got a James Tyler guitar with glossy neck and this one definitely get sticky, when my hand starting to be sweaty. If you think about the Jackson HT6, both new and older versions have great necks. To be honest, this grey Jackson pushed me back to playing on the 6 strings, which I am pretty happy about. It is an inspirational instrument, which I want to pick and play and this speaks for itself, I think :)

To this day I’ll never understand why Jackson made those ridiculous ultra wide pickups instead of using standard sized 8 string routes. Or at least do the generic soapbar thing, would have been far less egregious.

You are so right...The size of the original pickups is just silly...

found this set of videos and really appreciate the work you put into them. I just purchased for bareknuckle juggernauts for my HT6 pro same color as yours and was wondering if you knew the wiring diagram or could share with me a photo of your setup as I am about to start the surgery on my HT6 here soon. I can't find any wiring diagrams for the guitar anywhere! Thanks! my email is jremultimedia@gmail.com

Hi Jose. I am glad that the videos were helpful :) As for the wiring diagram, I don't have any. I just copied what was in the guitar already. Both Jackson and BareKnuckle pickups have the same sets of cables. All you have to do is to solder the new wires in the exact same place where the original ones were. Also, remember that you will have to place one of the pickups "upside-down". What I mean by this is, that both pickups have cables coming out of the housing close to one edge. You will have to put one of the pickups in the cavity, so the cables will be right next to the hole in the body, but the other pickup, you will have to place inside the cavity, so the cables will be far from the hole in the body. You will have to route cables between pickup and guitar body (under the pickup) and then put them into the hole. By "the hole" I mean the hole in the bottom of the pickup cavity, which leads to the pots and switch cavity. I hope this makes sense. Unfortunately, I don't remember which pickup has to be routed this way. I think it is a bridge pickup, but I am not 100% sure. You can ask guys at Bare Knuckle about this. They are great with feedback and I am sure they will help you with any problems or questions :)
