Hi Professor. I have a question on the calculation of SINR. Is SINR the power of the useful signal over the power of the sum of the interfering signals plus the noise power, or is it the power of the useful signal over the sum of the power of the interfering signals plus the noise power? The difference is that when we consider multi-user downlink communication, some articles directly state the sum of the interfering signal power, which really confuses me. Looking forward to your answer.
Great question! SINR can indeed be a bit tricky. It's defined as the power of the useful signal divided by the sum of the interfering signals and the noise power. This distinction is crucial, especially in multi-user downlink scenarios. It always involves the sum of the powers of the interfering signals, not the power of the summed interfering signals. I hope that clears things up!

Thank You fir the video. I think there is a difference between classical CPEs and 5G FWA equipment to be clarified. FWA equipment is targeting Business Use Cases like head office to be connected with a branch ... while CPE is needed for traditional use cases like video gaming internet connection at home etc ...

Don't understand exactly what you mean. Could you please paraphrase one more time?
@@5G_Understandinglevel A could be digital communication, where we are either communicating or not - 1s & 0s. Level B would be analog communication, where the signal fluctuates between 1 & 0. Level C is how well you can decipher the signal. E.g. I could communicate via optics using the colours RGB, each colour could send a digital signal at the same time, meaning your now sending x3 more data, if the receiver could distinguish between more than 3 bands of colour i would be able send even more data at once. Do you understand what is being said in the video?
