I always thought ozarks was the king of lakes and then started going to grand lake in Oklahoma and found out that it's actually bigger then tje ozarks only 2.45 hour drive instead of 6 to MO For me and they really look about the same comparing the two lakes. I think grand is almost 1400 shoreline where Ozark is only 1100.

Personally, LOA is not much for me although i have a place off it about 15 min away, on a river ( L. Niangua) and it is a world away from the hustle and bustle yet not too far away. I prefer the more remoteness of something like Bull Shoals (and way better water quality and fishing), but to each their own. we are blessed to have so many opportunities

I hated growing up in camdenton. I lived on lake rd 5-65 as s kid. For 13 yrs until I moved back to st Louis. The winters are hard snow ice and nothing to do but wait for summer. No thanks

Enjoyed! Grotto and Ramsey are two of our frequent Smoky's hikes; however, we are only now posting videos of our M&M Adventures. Abram's falls is another fun hike with swimming opportunities. Charlies Bunion, Gregory Bald, and Andrews Bald are some other great places to visit.

1150 miles of creek shoreline. That lake is a mingle of small creeks. Most lakes I've been to are large and wide open. But I guess you have to take what you can get living in flyover country. I spent 3 miserable years in that place.

Please come here and live. Please do not come here and race on the lake and continue to spoil the beauty of it just because you have the money to destroy it. Let's have new habits that allow people to be quiet and restful as well as having fun. Spending time on the lake is great, water skiing is great, but over sized ocean going vessels on the lake is stupid. There are underwater 'islands' that can destroy your boat and kill your family. I can't even take a Canoe on the lake anymore because of selfish weekenders who come and racously upset all hours of the day and night. Nobody is opposed to people having fun, but the way this video shows, it's all about disturbing other Peeples fun, namely a little time with some peace and quiet . From howling at the moon at midnight to spring targets at 6 am and speed boating all day. Drinking and loud music until 2 am, repeat repeat.....etc...

Spruce Flatts Falls, Tremont rd. Park at the Great Smoky Mountain institute parking lot. Beautiful short 3/4 mile hike and our favorite Waterfall . Great flow even in times of little rain. Farther up on Tremont rd. is the prettiest and easiest waterfall hike in the Smokies, Middle Prong Trail. Lynn Camp Falls and many other smaller cascades on the beautiful Middle Prong Trail.
