When I started my record label (Valholla Records) in 2005, the barrier to entry was incredibly high. Here's how we figured it out, along with the story of our first mixtape release, which was fully distributed in-house.

I don't think you can sue a whole genre because how many people actually sampled vs just made their own beat plus it's such a simple beat. HOWEVER I think the industry should behind the scenes pay them out just like I think we should pay the pioneers of hip hop out. It's the right thing to do.
If they paid, there would be a flood of people who used a drum pattern coming for money. Watch the case, I’m sure the judge will rule in favor of the reggaeton artists.

This already happened that’s why lawsuit came about when Marvin Gaye’s estate sued and won against Pharrell for the illegal use for the song “Blurred Lines” claiming Pharrell illegally used the groove and melody in the song “Got to give it up”
I’m aware of this case - and I’m surprised his estate won. We’ll see what happens with this case tho.
Obviously those who directly sampled from the audio should pay up regardless of how many songs ripped the ‘Fish Market’ Audio. Interpolation is a bit more complicated of a question for me though. There’s directly copying the notes note for note down to the tambourine, tom, and B flat, and then there’s people who have never heard Fish Market before who are just trying to capture the same vibe as Bad Bunny and J Balvin. I think it’s a stretch to say that a guy who made a beat similar to several beats that are similar to several beats…7 times down is interpolating or deriving fish market. I doubt all the instruments, notes and beats will all be the same.

Most main stream reggaton artist (if you listen to the genre) will have an original work and then smack in the middle the dem bow beat brake timbali, snare patters, hi hat on the floor bass on beat 1 and sparadic timbali fill at the end, which is, if you ask me, is specific to fish market and pounder dub mix II in the 1980s. Its like paying homage to their ancestors but really they ain't 😅😂. Steely and Clevie should be credited not pirated!

So how did you get the camera back?
That’s what I was thinking 😭😭
They don't appear to have lights or extra tanks, which would suggest cave diving. I'm thinking this is one of those underwater shelfs which has vents leading to a cavern further down that is open enough to swim in and use light from the surface to see still. They appear to be open water divers so they probably only needed to swim around and down the shelf to reach the camera sitting on a ledge below. The cavern wouldn't be very deep and would have ample light from above illuminating the area. If it's a cave they probably dropped the camera near a vent by the entrance where the surfaces light still penetrates cause trying to explore a cave with no flashlight is something you don't do.
