During Covid, I was 65 and decided to completely empty out our large overhead attic. Several days a week I would have my son bring down 6-8 boxes or large items. I dealt with those (throw away, give away, or keep) before asking him to bring more down. This way I didn’t get overwhelmed and the downstairs didn’t get cluttered. I got so excited during this process! In less than a month, the attic was empty. I swept and even vacuumed up there. It is the biggest encouragement to me that the attic is empty! I did it for my children. ❤ I kept very little of what was up there. Since then, I’ve been concentrating on the rest of the house. I keep several bags of giveaways ready to take at any given time. I go about every week or two.

When I make a pile of useful but unwanted items, I take a picture and send to my children. Whatever they don’t want is donated. They pretty much have to go ahead and tell me. I might hold onto a claimed item for a limited time, but after that, it goes.

I’m going through declutter ing because lived here 19 years and husband disabled. At 7%, it feels like a lot of work, but the little bit I’ve done, makes me feel a bit more free. Sometimes I look at what I’m working on and just say what the heck just throw it all away. Lol.

Does the magic jack have to be plugged into the router or laptop for the phone to wort? In other words can I plug the power source into a wall and the magic jack get a wireless signal from the router without it being directly plugged into the router?

Is there a phone that will send a call automatically to voicemail if it’s not recognized from the directory? The Vtech looks good but I don’t want anything that beeps when there’s a message: a light is enough. It seems like the former is a very basic feature that would make life a lot easier for seniors and their children! If it’s a telemarketer- they go to voicemail, and if it’s a friend , you have the option to pick it up! My father picks up every call before they even start speaking and 90% of the time it’s a telemarketer/scammer!

To keep myself fresh and clean I use a portable bidet. I use a drop of Vagasil intimate wash into the bidet and add warm water. It's so refreshing and I feel so clean.

The absolute best option, in my opinion, is invest in a bidet toilet seat with temperature option for seat & water. Ladies need toilet tissue to dry front area, or use soft flannel baby cloths or soft flannel material cut to size & launder as usual. My bidet seat even has a dryer, however I never use it- takes too long🤔 Gentle men need no tissue😊 All areas clean with the bidet seat use. I have a portable one keep in car, but have never used it.
