Thanx for the upload!I was unsure of what was causing this problem in my 2009 Cobalt SS that the previous owner had installed a double din Pioneer AVH P4100DVD using the GMOS LAN 4 and last night after having it mute on me again for no reason I pulled my dash apart and noticed the mute wire off the radio was connected-since I don't use OnStar I disconnected the wire and so far so good!

Added an avic to my ext with axxess module.... Chasing noise/hum issue... Grounded well... Using RCA out into the adapter...isolation xformers...didn't realize there was a gain pot on the axxess module, will check it out! Thanks

Did you ever figure out what was causing the radio to go into mute? I'm having the same issue with the GMOS-05 and my AVIC-X940BT. I don't want to disconnect the mute wire from the radio because I use my onstar and I need it to mute (when I want to)

Nope figured it out, it was the amp remote wire. Fixed the problem

the issue only happened for me when connecting the mute wire so that i could use the steering wheel controls to mute. i have since disconnected this wire and problem was solved. since your mute wire was never hooked up, it seems to be some other issue. most likely a faulty GMOS-04. when the door is closed what happens? when the door is open what happens?

any advice?

Same thing happens i just installed app radio in a Hummer H2 but it only plays while the beeper for the suv door is open. The mute wire was never hooked up.

@Atomkiller007 i had to clone the sky and the buildings. i did a very bad job though. if you look at the buildings near the girl's hands you'll see what i mean. also the sky above her head is messed up as well. if i took my time i coud've gotten in perfect. not bad for my first try tho.
