She thought he was joking with arresting her, so she took off (causing a resisting arrest charge), pulled into a parking lot - he had his gun drawn still th inking he wasn't serious, (consistently resisting), so she then assaults him (causing assault and battery charge).... It was all because of his gentle manner when she said she didn't want to pay the money to fix a light, and he agreed, that she thought he'd have sympathy on her. This Debra did a plea deal to stay out of prison , and in the end she got 4 years probation, and a hefty fine worth a couple of thousand dollars...Moral of the story ya'll, sign the dam ticket. lol...A good lesson that nobody is above the law - Just because she's 65, doesn't give her the right to resist arrest and assault an officer. Who's to say she didn't have a weapon in her vehicle or on her person... the police officer didn't know that . She was trying to get up facing him-- so she was treated like anyone else who just committed a crime and was tasered.
