Bull I have adhd and never do anything about it other than drink coffee and hyper focus it. Some days I take lots of breaks having a hard time focusing. I am no way depressed, you don’t know enough about how the brain works to make such claims.

Patients in testimonials on online advertisements have claimed that "[...] I don't know why I'm saying this [...]". That statement under different circumstances can be found by courts to classify people undergoing these therapies as legally incompetent. This is a risk people face to their rights, and something I'm worried these companies are not fully informing their patients about.

Can I point out it’s very distracting to have the music and can’t pay attention to what your saying it’s a shame because I suffer heavily with depression but the music makes the video unwatchable

Tip for the background music that works for me: Put on the CC subtitles. I find that I am focusing so much on reading that I tune out the music

I’ve been on Spravato for a year and a half, taking it twice a week. This drug is definitely causing memory loss. I don’t think it works very well. It does not eliminate depression, but almost changes you into a new person. I’d rather be the person I was 30 years ago, without depression, than a new person, meaning, always in a fog.

Recently had TMS. They had zero interest in my history (I was concerned about my akathisia, really scared actually and they didn’t care or try to answer questions). I had a strange brain event 2 years prior and got peripheral polyneuropathy overnight and was concerned because the neuropathy was still active. They didn’t care. There has been no follow up and I’m so low again now I can’t chase them for answers. Back in bed and have stopped sleeping. My brain won’t power down. It’s a big warning sign. Scared this will end badly.

Five ketamine shots didn't help me out at all. Doctor said if ketamine doesn't work, then Spravato isn't going to work either.

I've had multiple surgeries in the past few years. During surgery, they give you MASSIVE amounts of K compared to the spray or infusion treatments. But I don't want up from surgery and notice improved mood, etc. That made me doubt the effectiveness of this med.

I really laugh when people comment on the background music. I mean really. People put videos up to help others through their own experiences as a kind service to humanity , and all people can think of is shooting it down because of ‘the annoying music’ . Goodness gracious people , when did we become so obnoxiously entitled to others’ time & efforts ?

My doctor in Taiwan said no to TMS because I have a titanium plate in my head due to brain surgery. Do you think it’s ok?

I had a baby a tread I ago. Before then I didn’t have depression or anxiety.. now it’s like I have anxiety bad depression and severe dissociation 24/7. I even tried to take my life. I’m just out of answers. I will try tms and pray that it works!

My 1st appointment is in 12 days. I'm treatment resistant depressant with chronic anxiety, OCD, ADHD etc. Have been on at least a dozen SSRIs and SNRIs, have tried TMS, ECT, talk therapy and partial hospitalization. I hope to God that I feel some relief from the dark, ruminating thoughts and severe anxiety.

I did 36 sessions about 4-6 months ago & I’m convinced it’s a hoax. It hurt so bad & was hell to get through yet I’m still mentally & emotionally broken after it. It didn’t fix or improve shit, in fact it might’ve only made things worse. Sick & sad.

I'm booked in for TMS treatment and this has really put me off. I'm severely depressed, and you're literally saying you have to be disciplined and motivated, with a can-do attitude and a pep in your step, or treatment won't work. Seriously? You think this is helpful? Do you understand depression or not? What an annoying and unhelpful video.

I come from india and im constantly battling depression people around me are thinking that im a psychopath, dumb, stupid because im not doing anything properly. But sir this made me feel better because I thought that its my fault that im making others feel bad. But now i know that its just an illness and not my fault. Can Commercial CDL drivers subject to DOT drug testing and regulation receive this treatment without DOT concerns affecting their careers by the DOT if detected in urine/hair sample?

Here’s something the three of you should know. People with ADHD get bored easily. Playing the same ten note pattern over and over again in the background becomes the only thing I can hear. Also, if you really need to have music playing in the background hire a sound editor or at least lower the volume.

I've used a tDCS device and it has helped me. It seems a very similar type of therapy to TMS.

I had 8 unresponsive medications and did not respond to 32 sessions of TMS. It was because after 16 years and 6 psychiatrists later, I had undiagnosed ADHD. Ever since the age of 14, I had mental health providers say my trouble focusing was just depression when it wasn't. It was only after the TMS therapy that any mental health providers started to believe me when I said there was something else going on. You can't stimulate serotonin production to get out of a dopamine deficit in the brain. Edit to add: The TMS clinic I went to had a cookie cutter approach with only one treatment protocol for everyone, and doctor on site only 2 days per week. I pretty much had zero access to anyone to voice my concerns during the treatment. Despite them saying the machine wouldnt stimulate motor nerves, I would have either my eyelid or my fingers twitch no matter how they placed the coil.

Well that was a whole lot of nothing. It doesn't clearly help any patient, and ofcourse it can't replace talk therapy or medications, because they simply want to add one more overpriced scam to the docket, the whole of which could be replaced with good diet and lifestyle.

I would also recommend that a clinic has an insurance specialist who is an expert in getting insurance authorization for tms. That should be standard

I was about to comment on the annoying music. Saw the above same comment . It is serious subject. My daughter just attempted suicide, i want to listen clearly what the presenter said, as we are a foreigner can't understand American English well. This music making it worst.
