It must have been nice with much fewer people there
If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend going right when they open up. It's a completely different experience.
Was this filmed earlier in the year? It looks too green and lush to be a winter hike!
This was filmed last week. Because we have dry summers and wet winters, for the most part our winters are greener than our summers. Thanks for watching Geek Monster. I really appreciate it.
Love this walk - thank you for sharing! It actually made me to do some historical research about the Russian Gulch in California and why it was called this way ... interesting ... (I was born in USSR)
As a kid one of my favorite places to visit was Fort Ross in Sonoma County. Not sure if you have visited it. I did a tour of Fort Ross earlier this year. If you have never been you should go. You can also watch my video here: ruclips.net/video/zAlJnO0og7k/видео.html It is amazing that the most northern Spanish mission and most southern Russian Fort in North America are just 60 mile away from each other. Thanks for watching again Irina.
@@Lenswithbenefits Thank you! I should put this place on my "Wish / Dream List" to visit! Amazing! I will watch your video tomorrow😊
Thank you for sharing this peaceful / windy seaside walk ... Beautiful and Powerful waves and costal wilderness. I miss Mendocino -visited it for the 1st time this September and stayed at the Mendocino Seaside Cottage for 3 days - sunsets were unforgettable! Love the way you have pictured here those little water springs coming to meet with the powerful Ocean!
The Mendocino coast is amazing. As always thank you for watching Irina. I really appreciate you watching.
Love that place. I've only been there once, but I definitely should go back.
It is an amazing place. Thank you for watching Trond.
Im in a wheelchair and that place looks accessible.
I’m so disappointed in how the open space peeps make a wild and wonderful place look like a county park😢😢😢
Roy's is basically a very small preserve surrounded by a huge amount of both rural ag lands and open space preserves. It is like a jumping off point to the woods, more than the deep woods itself. It's a very popular community resource with great accessibility (and parking, usually). There's way more open space around here that is in a more natural state to be experienced. Roy's is great for easy accessibility and is pretty much like a county park to locals. The "improvements" were needed to help it bear the usage.
@ - I live right by it, I know all about it and have been hiking there for decades. I don’t agree with your assessment that the “improvements” were needed to help it bear the usage it gets that’s ridiculous. The county needed to spend the money and that’s where they chose to spend it. The money would’ve been spent much better at Paradise Park to fix the retaining wall that is crumbling and is a danger to every single visitor. Roy’s it’s not really surrounded by “aglands” In fact, not too long ago almost half of it was surrounded by a golf course. I have done bird counts out there in the bird boxes that were put up nearby and just like nature I prefer any area in its more natural state.
@@mazer4112 Had you walked the area lately? It's been crushed by overuse. "Natural state" hasn't applied to Roy's in a few decades. And what are you talking about, not surrounded by ag lands? Do you actually live in the valley? There's big ranch adjacent to Roy's to the east, and behind the golf course is another huge ranch (and others). You're just being silly.
@@NoDictators82 LATELY?? The project started in 2023 approved in June of 2023. And yes, I hiked it just before they started making it look like New York City Central Park and no it was not being loved to death, that’s just the excuse everybody used to justify spending over $3 million on the project. Ranches are not considered “ag lands” And yes, I used to live on East Centura in San Geronimo. But people do not need to “live in the valley” in order to appreciate some thing for its natural beauty. They can visit it 20 times a year every year for 30 years and have a better sense of place than a “local”. What they did is just make it more of a fire hazard, When tweakers go out there to get high and set the new raised platform on fire. There’s always consequences to the actions of humans on an environment no matter how good their intention is. Say what you will, but my concerns are not “silly”, I don’t appreciate name calling from some ignoramus, clueless about the intricate details of “fixing nature”
The most beautiful video I watched today and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Thank you.😊❤
I am so happy you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching Ashgan!
Thank you 😊 Beautiful walk - love those mossy trees and water ❤
The mossy trees always get me also. I have always wanted to create a video of only close ups of moss on trees. But I think I would be the only one that would watch it. Thank you for watching Irina!
Very nice video!

I totally agree Ben, it is a beautiful lighthouse in an amazing places. This video didn't get a lot of play. I really liked creating this short format video. So it's great to hear that people liked it. Thanks for watching!

I totally agree. It is magical place. Thanks for watching Bruce!
Beautiful and peaceful trail - thank you for sharing! I just came back from Miranda Gardens Resort ... spend 4 days in these woods ... no birds in this forest - that surprised me! 😊

@ ❤️❤️❤️ Will do!
Another good installment! So relaxing!
Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it.
How is it in December ?
It is amazing in December, Syed! It is even greener and less crowded. One thing to keep in mind with Muir Woods is that because it does get so crowded you need to make reservations. 70 miles north of Muir Woods is Armstrong Woods that is just as wonderful. I have video of Armstrong Woods in the Winter, if you would like to see that that is like. ruclips.net/video/yL1Yu_1lqf4/видео.html Thanks for watching Syed.
Hey man, you did an awesome job of slowing down your hike. Thank you! This video was so much easier for me to watch. Very nice area!
Hey Bill, this hike was filmed a day before your comment. I am happy to hear it worked for you. I promise the next hike will be even more steady and a little slower. Thanks for watching Bill.
Thats cool! I onow there is a pretty abundant amount of people that hop on a trreadmill and walk that rail with you. Those folks may like the faster pace!! What a conundrum!! Excellent videos, just do a slow one once in a while for us pokies! When im hike trails, i average close to 1 mile an hour!!
@@billswanson3767 Well with help from viewers like you I hope to find the perfect balance. Thanks again for watching Bill!
My sources have just confirmed that this is indeed a “Tall Tree.”
I can back up your sources on this one. It is indeed a Tall Tree. Thanks for watching Blake.
Hello again my friend! Love the trails your on!
I love them too! It's why I do it. It is nice to create something for other to enjoy, but it's even better when you love being in those places your filming.
@@Lenswithbenefits Yes indeed!!
Mr. Guy, I want to watch your videos because i really love your trails. However, if you could slow down about 25% or 30%, i would watch them ! The speed in which you walk, look around etc. the totality of the hike is too fast for me. It makes me dizzy. I do not have the capability on the device (TV set) i am using to slow down the video. That is the only thing keeping me from watching regularly. Thanks, for considering this comment.
Thank you so much for the advice Bill. I know I do have a tendency to walk and hike at a fast clip. I will make a point of slowing it down. Thanks again for the comment.
Absolutely stunning!!!
Thanks for watching Get Your Cray Cray On!
Powerful and Peaceful ... this rock looks like Sphinx ... ☺ ... subscribed 😎
I agree it is peaceful. I could watch waves crash over rocks for hours. I call it Lion Rock but Sphinx Rock is a better name. Thank you so much for subscribing.
