The clothes are finely made with fur linings, suggesting she is at least exceptionally wealthy. The clothes are also night clothes and it would be scandalous to sketch this of a noble woman unless she was royalty in which case she’d be surrounded by attendants at all times. The only portrait we know for a fact to have been made in her lifetime that still exists (the Moste Happy coin) has a similar profile to this portrait, which is a typical for its long face, unique mouth shape, large eyes, and pointed nose. It is highly likely for this evidence it is Anne but as you say we still can’t be sure

After analysis of Richard III's DNA, the possibility of a royal illegitimate birth was accepted. Maybe there was more than one in Richard bloodline. There were rumors that Edward IV was illegitimate. There had been rumors that I don't believe that said John of Gaunt was a changeling. It was possible that Edmund overlooked Richard of York in his will because Richard was the beneficiary of a pension. As for the ten-year gap, it might have been due to illness or miscarriages. A similiar ten-year gap between children appeared in the family of Marie of Hesse who became the wife of Alexander II of Russia.

I dont believe the rumors/allegations that Gaunt was a changing or son of a butcher either. Its such a peculiar story.

Gaunt did not want to let the Hastings fortune. Elizabeth may have hoped that the marriage would be ultimately dissolved. Catherine, the third wife of John Graunt, was considered unattractive.

About the accusation of poisoning - Did they use arsenic as a rat poison at that time? I know they used it in the 18th Century, but I can't go back any further than that.

The most detailed exposition I have come across on RUclips of Bradmore’s treatment of the Prince. The fact that no descriptions or representations of Henry V refer to or show a scar may suggest it healed well and was not obvious. Had it been surely the French would have drawn attention to it as a sign that he was malformed and seen that as an indication that he was sinister or diabolical. One French description from after his accession says he looked more like a priest than a soldier like his brother the Duke of Clarence. It occurs to me that Henry might have concealed it when in public with some form of cosmetic. He did not, it would appear, grow his beard or whiskers to hide any of it. The fact that the best known portrait shows him in profile is not I think conclusive - as you say it depends which is the left side, Henry’s or Bradmore’s. It can equally be seen as an artistic convention of the fifteenth century which was not universal but not infrequent.

Francis I was unkind. He was probably pissed that Charles V, her nephew, had him imprisoned for several years. Think he was vindictive and nasty.
