    • @cerronecomposer
      @cerronecomposer 23 дня назад

      the ostinato is a series of additive processes (3, 4, 5) and the melodic layer has its own rhythm so for the sake of simplicity I put it all in 4/4. Initially I could see that interpretation but the pattern breaks so quickly (eg bar 15) that no single meter would really contain it

    • @Whatismusic123
      @Whatismusic123 23 дня назад

      @cerronecomposer it breaks so quickly because the measure is simply missing half a beat it's something I would call an error, even if you wanted thr effect

      Absolutely - putting the piece in a tempo canon with itself. Probably I was thinking more about Nancarrow but G.L. is always amazing.
