tomation in irrigation is the use of a controller device ( arduino uno) to operate irrigation valves ( Solenoid Valves) so the change of flow of water from bays can occur in the absence of the farmer. Automation can be used in a number of ways: to start and stop irrigation through supply channel outlets depending on the need of crop and availability of water to maximise crop yield and minimal physical intervention by farmer .
