Probably jumping, but it doesn't make that much of a difference for the most part when it comes to cycles

That jump has been very hard for me ever since I saw it in other runs and tried to implement it on my gameplay. I think the method to not lose momentum there involves pressing right and jumping from the rope before Mario faces right. Getting nothing but red splits in the first worlds attempting to retake 100% runs was so discouraging that I tried running any%; congrats on your new any%+ WR btw, I should try running that category too

@@gordaluisa9427 understandable, your 100% Worl Record is very clean and will be hard for anyone to take on in the future. I do recommend any%+ if you're willing to put in a lot of hours. I practiced both any% and plus% but damn, plus% is not to be underestimated on a high level

It's actually simple, whenever you're on an enemy you can grab, just press B + B + A (grab + throw + jump) quickly enough. It's not a frame perfect trick so you should be able to do it easily. In 6-1 it's risky because you die if you fail it though

Wherever there's an enemy you can grab I guess, try with shy guys in world 1 for example

It doesn't reset itself, it's the player who does it manually. It's faster than playing the minigame after collecting all three presents

I play on original console because I think it's more comfortable to use the touchscreen this way than on an emulator (I haven't tried it yet, but I imagine using the mouse for that purpose is way less versatile). It's a shame my phone can't record the screen with better quality though I don't think using emulators means cheating. If cheats were enabled, it would be noticeable (it's also true that splicing runs is easier on emulators). For example, I play MvsDK on an emulator because I don't own a GBA anymore, and I use Bizhawk, which is the one required to submit runs on speedrun.com

To perform the glitch, you have to delete a game file where you've beaten the game, then choose that same file to play This way you can beat the game without getting at least 40 stars, which are required on a normal run to advance to DK's final fight

Bizhawk. I saw sr.c only allowed runs from this emulator for this game so I had no choice. It works nicely so I can't complain though

@@gordaluisa9427 it's a thing that the other emulators have faster loading times, it has some visual bugs that I didn't see in your runs (so I assumed you were clear ;P).. Btw, final dk can be done 40 seconds faster by doing rehits on a 2 pixel specific setup (you can check my plus% guide for that or my any%+ wr). I'll try to review your run as soon as possible, but great work nonetheless :))

I've been using some strats I saw in any% runs (from Violin or even your current world record), but I had never checked the plus categories. I've just watched your any%+ PB and +DK looks like a joke. Thanks for the free time save
