【 Bird's Nest - The National Stadium, Beijing, China 】
The National Stadium in Beijing, known as the "Bird's Nest," has been designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, in collaboration with Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. Construction began on December 24, 2003, and was completed in June 2008 for the summer Olympics and Paralympics games.
The most recent major event held was the closing ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics. This event took place on February 20, 2022, marking the end of the Winter Games.

One of the most beautiful palaces from the late 1800s in Europe. The very late 1800s and early 1900s (pre-WW1) gave birth to some of the most beautiful large structures (including residential buildings) one can find. They mixed former styles like classical, gothic, renaissance, baroque, etc., and sometimes threw in influences from beyond Europe. Anytime I come across a very beautiful building in Europe or in the Americas, it's usually from that narrow period at the turn of the last century.
