I like the 30k version, too. Would be interesting to see them side by side. I like the wing on the 30k version more. I however don’t like dealing with the bendy resin spear and wings it will come with.

Add points together, done. It’s not gonna be any good or legal but hey, who cares? Maybe I make some custom rules for them as a detachment.

Thank you for the tip! I will re-visit this project in the future and try to paint them again. I think I need other paints now because my food coloring is oil based and wouldn't mix with wodka.

@@chaosfrogs7 Got about 3k in total with half that amount painted right now in a custom scheme. No specific archetype, just a little bit of everything so far. But the new DKK looks amazing so will be adding 1.5k of those down the road. But my nids will be invasion fleet with plenty of shooty bugs. Can't wait.

@ custom is very cool. I also like the DKK stuff. It’s tempting. I can recommend going shooty with bugs, apart from the biovores. They look cool but are pretty terrible in the game. Setting spore mines down was a better option for me most times. Maleceptors however are really awesome right now. Fully recommend them.

The event was great. Had a lot of fun. My army didn't perform that well. Had a hard time with vehicles and some units like the Von Ryan's Leapers are just too bad in the game. I went 2 wins 3 losses and 1 draw in the end.

@@chaosfrogs7 yeah I can see them struggling against vehicle heavy lists but it's such a thematic army that it wins on cool points imo.
