Hmmm, I presume unmodded? If it is modded then check for any mods that would add a map! Sometimes map mods end up causin' crashes. Same thing for custom factions. Other than that idk! I haven't played in a long time. If you've tried the obvious I presume you've done a clean reinstall of your drivers and have varified the file.

At the time this worked wonders, plus I tended to ally with Morgur which would leave him to rampage northwards. He almost always beat Bretonia into a pulp and left the Wood Elves scrambling to deal with his hordes. I've never placed too high of value on tier 5 that early tbh! I think tier 4 is far more valuable early on since tier 5 doesn't give Ikit very much extra to work with. Ya get Warp Lightning Cannons and Doom Wheels. Tier 5 is only great for the hero/lord bonuses. Which are rather moot that early on. Much rather have Rattling Gun, Warplock Jezzails, Plague Claw Catapults and Poisonwind Mortor doomstack ready by turn 20. Granted this was a long time ago so they might've changed some stats or mechanics since I made this that caused everything to shift and no longer work!

Sadly I don't own Shogun 2, but the major crash I see is actually a Windows problem where the system decides to close the game without asking your permission. It doesn't even seem to be consistent...2 people with the same specs and OS yet it crashes for one and not the other! One person had it working only when they had task manager open for some reason... Seems like a mess of a game!

@@elrondirgaming828 strange.. maybe its a visual glitch? Could be rendering the Restricted version of the map, with the basement floor cut off visually but the collision is not there?

Yeah, sadly it looks like an update made the Beastmen ruin the area a turn earlier now. The safer route is to just go tier 3 and retake Skavenblight a turn earlier, but it's so early in the game you might as well do as you said here!

Interresting, turns out they changed the Beastmen AI so now you need to settle before turn 4! So tier 3 on turn 3 is now the play. Sad, I'll miss my turn 20 full doomstack.....

@@Halfhaphazard Np! I love Ikit Claw and loved this exploit, sad it's nerfed now. At least we still get tier 3! Took me a couple moments to figure out what it was! The Beastmen bloodgrounds doesn't show for some reason when you abandon Skavenblight!

Yeah, had me confused too lol. If ya wanna take the challenge of killin' off the Beastmen you can still get the tier 4 super early, but I like to ally with them so they beat up Bretonnia and the Woodelves personally.

Not too bad imo when you're this stacked early game. I tend to make friends with the beastmen to the west that way they head north and deal with wood elfs/bretonia for me. Then I head over to Sartosa and turn her island into a food farm. Every raider generates food plus they spawn rebellions which provide even more food! Had 30 armies raiding her island at one point when I played with no supply line mod lol. Even without it I still had 6 armies there perma raiding and getting a rebellion every turn almost!

Yup! Gotta make sure you resettle on turn 4 at the latest since the Beastmen make it a blood ground on turn 5 at the latest everytime!

Did ya make sure to resettle on turn 4 by the latest? I've found they tend to make the blood grounds on turn 5

​@@elrondirgaming828 well, i confirmed by turn 4 the absolute chaos reach to zone of skavenblight not letting me re take it, btw im playing in normal difficulty, maybe has some to do with that?

@@lucasolivares2161 Don't think so, I've done it on Easy-Legendary and it's worked without a problem. If I get time I'll test it tomorrow to make sure CA didn't change a value, my little hatchling eats up lots of my time outside of streams though!

It might be the specific level, sometimes one battle map can be totally unplayable because it causes crashes. Or that was a problem in 2, that's my only thought. If that's the case all you can do is autoresolve and try not to get into fights in that area again. Ya got any map mods on? If so try takin' them off then redoing the battle.

If ya see us playin' somethin' ya got we usually let people join!
