Old Fort Parker Texas

This video was shot at a reconstructed fort near the site of the original Fort Parker in Limestone county, Texas. On May 19th 1836 the fort was attacked by Native Americans. Five pioneers were killed, five captured and twenty-one escaped. Nine-year-old Cynthia Ann Parker was captured and later wed a Comanche Chief. Quanah Parker, one of the great Comanche chiefs, was her son.
