I owned and restored one of these in 1995, also got it from a volunteer fire department auction for $1,500 and drove it home an hour away. I promise you this guy has a sore behind after driving this thing for an hour or more, it’s not comfortable by any means but, it’s amazing off road. The neoprene seals for the valve stems always dry up and crack causing oil to seep into the cylinders so be aware of that if you get one of these, that’s really the only issue you’ll find annoying, it uses an M-37 ignition ignitor so parts are available. Steering is for real men, no power steering here.
สวย เท่ รถยนต์ Jeeps
A very complete wrecker , did you find it close to this or did you hunt down all the parts attached to the truck ?
The non photo blue was not visible to the very common ortho chromatic film of the day. Pano chromatic film became in heavier use soon after and photo blue became visible.
it's a very nice jeep keep them rolling =)
Llama mucho mi atención dos cosas: No tiene Jerrycan y tampoco tiene la luz blackuot sobre el guardabarros delantero. Por favor si puedes aclarar esas dudas . Muchas gracias.
Was this for sale

Wondering where this jeep went after manufacturing... sounds like it had light duty. Great video..

My dad drove these in Europe during the war, 544th Ordnance. He was 19 on D-Day, 20 on VE Day.
Great
Nice video! I just learned of your business earlier today. I do not own a WWII Jeep. I purchased my first Jeep---I still have it---on 17 April 2012. My Jeep is a JK Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. That said, I'm greatly interested in World War II history. I'll be seventy-four this March but plan on living for many more years. One of these days, when I'm finished writing the book I've long been working on, I'd like to find and purchase a World War II Jeep in as good a condition as can be found. Many years ago, from 1974 to 1 January 1986, I owned and operated a business not unlike yours. My business was named McKane's Rover Imports. It was located in San Diego, California. MRI sold parts for Rover cars, but Land Rover parts were, by far, the larger primary part of my business. I left that business after trying to get Chrysler Corporation to purchase Land Rover Ltd. from the British Government. I still have the letter Lee Iacocca wrote me in August 1986 to say that their talks with Land Rover had ended. What Mr. Iacocca did not mention was that Chrysler was by then working on purchasing AMC/Jeep. Chrysler disposed of the AMC part of that business as quickly as they could. It took me several years after January 1987 to come to the realization that Mr. Iacocca and his top people made the right decision in passing on the purchase of Land Rover and instead buying AMC/Jeep. Thanks for your business. You'll probably have me as one of your customers within the next couple of years! Andy McKane, 1728, 18 January 2022, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.
I am in Australia and wanting to buy a C J 2 A do you have any for sale Alan
So George, when did they decide to convert to a shifter on the steering column instead of the floor shifter?
I do believe you are WRONG on one point;---it was EDSEL, Henry's son (he was BOTH PRESIDENT & CHIEF OF PRODUCTION of FORD)--who INSISTED on (& i believe partly designed it)!
In 2019 I was out to DDay Conneaut Ohio, and saw an usual WWII Jeep on display. It must have been a real early prototype because of some very usual features. The intake/exhaust manifold was on the opposite side of the engine. It had an automotive instrument cluster on the dash, the door contour was different. It was a slat grill. Anyone every seen this one?
That was a Ford.
Шикарная машина у нас в России тоже есть такой джип 1941год с такой решёткай как у вас!!!
I have a 47' I'm currently working on. Was my late father's
Is this Steve in Beacon NY?
No mention of the d23/d41 rear diff. Giving those old jeeps 3 possible driveshaft lengths...
Then they copied ford and changed grill to 7 slots to avoid copyright and now they boast about the significance of their 7 slots which never existed. 😂😂
I would like to know about the music used at the beginning of this video.
Please do a detailed video on a original 6x6 willys mb
Gracias a ustedes se puede preservar el vehículo que representa la libertad "El Jeep" que bien que tengan tantos repuestos y piezas para mantener originales ese tesoro que es El Jeep. Saludos desde Venezuela Sur América.
What is the VIN?
Yes, what's the cj2a serial number?
I have one. Mine is titled as a 1945. Video on my page
Had a mate Ken Lewis.... had a collection of jeeps ... one being the slatted grill👍🏼....had been used as a garage tow truck painted yellow..... early lend lease I reckon in England. 😎💪🏼
Friend of mine has one in a complete crate as well, including hand written labels attached to the box itself.
I ve had a Willy s 1943, a Willy s CJ _2A and aCJ -3A 24 vollt amazing truck s
best soundtruck ever
We have one delivered on December 17, 1941 Awesome MB!
I thought the CJ-4 was the rarest Willys Jeep ??
Just an honest question, Why do so many call them Willeeessss? It is John Willys namesake and his Sir Name is not plural. Much respect to the work you do and detail.
Willys rhymes with 'Phyllis'.
Harga
There are other cj2a jeeps with wartime parts. It early 47, with bullet style parking lamps, Ford gpw transfercases were mounted, with cj2a tag, I have an example of one. In 48, for a brief while, the electrics were changed, to use the mb/gpw, voltage regulator and generator. All found on the cj2a page.
Thank you
Beautiful
The American legend we all know and love, a beginning of the toughness of the jeep that we know today, wow epic music from the beginning of the video to the end, cool sir ........
very detailed you examine it ...... I really like it, great job sir
When I win the $500,000,000 lottery, I'm going to buy one of everything he has and whatever he can find for me.
for sale??
So it's not a rare frame, it's an original ruined MB frame to copy a rare cj frame. Maybe they should have modified a MD Juan frame to make it therefore re no loss.
Haha funny joke
In the same vein, why they wouldn't have just used a regular CJ frame is weird (Especially if the CJ frame is heavier duty)
11:12 So they threw away the "rare" frame then destroyed a WWII Willys MB frame to make a copy ? This is not a restoration, this is a jeep salad.
