sorry if i'm being a bit late sir . So in question 9 aren't the beta particles supposed to be short and thick since the beta particles is heavier?
no beta particle has just 1 electron which has very less mass while alpha particle has 2 protons and 2 neutrons so it has way more mass making it more ionising making it the thick one. And alpha is short because it has more mass so it travels slowly and beta is very light so it is fast and long
