I can understand the reaction. Being part of something you've not only been a fan of, but something huge like this is a great achievement.

Her voice is probably the most iconic thing in the Remake, to me. It just fits Aerith so well.

I understand that you can't pay the top actors like Steve Blum, Mena Suvari and so forth for all these FF VII projects but if I'm being quite honest, a lot of these voice actor choices are hit and miss. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's an honor to play a part in the Final Fantasy franchise but her voice is too adorable and Hello Kitty for Aerith. Mena gave a Aerith a gentle and caring voice but also gave her strength, that she is grown up and can hold her own.

And I agree Aeriths theme "Pure heart" is beautiful I always loved it until...... after that it makes me cry every time I don't know if I can watch her die again in 4k I don't know if I can take it. It was gut wrenching the first time I had been sent home from school after one of the worsed beatings my bullies gave me so I played FF7 to take my mind of the pain and I was just coming up to her death scene unknowingly. I walked up to her and couldn't move it though the game had glitched so I kept hitting buttons quickly so Cloud pulled out his sword and raised it over Aeriths head in seconds and I was shocked as hell when I realised what was happening and thought "wow stopped in the nick of time" but then as we all know no matter how hard I try to to shake Cloud out of it I had to press the Circle button and Was so relieved when your friend snap Cloud out of it but then.... oh man did I cry as the White materia bounced down those stairs at this point I didn't feel the bruises my bullies gave me and Jenova didn't even stand a chance I didn't care anymore I just unleashed hell on her didn't hold back burn through my MP and used rare items left and right I totally nuked her. But it was hard to continue after this Aerith was one of my main party members and had save my butt many times with her magic and healing wind limit she was basically my MVP losing her was hard and now permanently...... definitely one of the most impactful and emotional things that every happened to me and I don't just in a game.

Ugrrh that horrible feeling of dread when Sethiotroh touches her shoulder it doesn't go away no matter how many times I see it my stomach just churns and get a horrible feeling shooting through me every time.

I can’t imagine the feeling of growing up with this game, then getting to play the remake and hearing your own voice coming out of one of the most popular and loved video game characters of all time. Fantastic job bringing Aerith to life, you’ve made the kid in all of us fall in love with her all over again ❤

Terrible voice for an iconic character

I can't imagine anyone else holding the role of Aerith like Briana White! I am beyond proud and amazed at her comings of being a voice actress!!

You brought to the world the absolutely perfect voice for Aerith. There is no other voice for her, and thank you so much for the work you did for her. It is perfect and it makes me think of being young again playing the original. It's everything.
