heavy 156gr bullets vs light 100gr bullets
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Im calling it the hourglass effect because before the convergence, one round has an advantage and after the convergence, the other takes the lead with respect to wind. Thinking about a field of fire as a shape can help dissect zones where you might choose one round over another. This bullet comparison can be done for any rounds, but it shows a distinct patterns. Due to the large weight and velo...

Does swapping rifle chassis in the field ruin everything?
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.11 месяцев назад
What if you had to take your cation out of the chassis in the field? What if you wanted to change chassis because , who knows why, but you needed to.. Frank and I decided to take a quick look to get an idea how we felt about it. Try yourself and decide if its something you would do or not do. Does how you grab your bag matter
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.11 месяцев назад
The question was how grabbing a rear bag can alter point of impact. This is just a preliminary look at a few options that folks use, but the takeaway is to encourage you to go shoot some paper and log the effects of your use and see if its acceptable for you.

I know this video was made before the Fatboys came out, but any chance have you had any experience with the Fatboy tripods and would care to share your thoughts? Thanks.

For those wondering about the buttpad height adjustment, its not quick adjust but you can unscrew the pad and raise and lower or cant it to your desired position by changing the position of the screw holes (there's a bunch drilled out which are covered by the pad)
What distance?
is there a spotter video out there to explain reading a missing target ? because I see the bullet trail but its hard to tell if I went river the left or right, too high air too low? I need to be able to make better calls
Great videos!
Make it look so easy. Long the ding next up double tap
intro and outro music is about 4x the volume of the rest of the video.
Thank you 🙏🏼 Your explanation and visual aids made all the difference in this step for me.
Excellent info
🇫🇮🙏🏻🇫🇮
i never would have figured the 100gr in a 6.5 would perform better past 400yds. learn something new every day!
Wow i feel dumb. That is an easy wind call
I hope that 2Vets and RRR will eventually replace the turning leg locks with Black Diamond or Benro style flip locks. Stronger hold, faster and don't break. A little R&D ( ripoff and duplicate ) would be great.
What caliber was used in this testing?
6.5 creedmoor. Frank was talking about this on the everyday sniper podcast
@@JackManiacky The 6.5 Creedmoor Berger EOL Elite 156gr has a Ballistic coefficient of .679 G1 with 2,680 fps at the muzzle, and still doing 2,037 fps at the 500 yard mark. 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady ELD-VT 100gr has a BC of .448 G1 with 3,200 fps at the muzzle, and 2,192 fps at 500 yards.
Thanks for sharing this information with us.
Fyi it an air intake not exaust
little 💎's of info as aways. thanks !
i’m curious you don’t follow through with your trigger finger doesn’t matter to you or something else
👍♥
Great video!
What about torque when shooting from a tripod with a sling at the front of the rifle, attached to a belt?
Let’s talk torque folks.
I’ve owned most all the big name tripods and my journey lead me to Two Vets. Hands down the best tripods,to me. My go to is the QDT V2. No regrets!! Great review by the way!
a tip, can you add Firearm to the title; as I got onto this, as a photographer, thinking it was a camera tripod comparison.
Lol
I cant tell 10 from 15mph lol😂
Where can i find more videos/instruction on the quick wind methods?
Its funny that they get mad at the chassis manufacturers for not accommodating the .01% of guys that run their bolt like theyre special needs.
Thank you so much for this PEARL of wisdom!! 🤘
Chris, I noticed that you use your middle finger, not your index finger to press the trigger. Could you expand on this or perhaps do a video on why you do this?
change wind direction to 3 o'clock (180 degrees) and its way off. only works if the wind is in the direction when you do the math. (3:00 vs 9:00)
Do you bridge when you shooting off a tripod?
Very insightful
Would you two please talk about your strategies for the different specializations? What are your pre & post stage "checklists?" What are some if the things you do to your rifles to make them more accurate? Good talk! Thanks for sharing! Chris, I hope you regain your health again VERY soon!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It's very appreciated.
Honestly, I think the "variation" you found switching between the different chassis systems could easily be explained by the expected random variation in 3-shout groups.
Oh yeah? Well… ¼ moa = 0.286” at 100m 🥴
We’re all the groups @ 500 yards?
I'm pretty sure he was saying they shot a couple of rounds at 500 yards then came out to this shooting location to check zero. I believe he shot these groups at 100 yards. I mean, those are good groups even at 100 yards and the overlays about MIL to inch conversions use 100 yards.
I would say it could improve your shot groups...my reasoning is because one of the stocks will meld better with the action, and create better barrel harmonics...
Background looks like southern idaho. If so, I'll Subscribe.

Good analysis Chris. Suggestion-Placing a paper target at distance would have been a more clear indicator of the poi mvmnt
Do you have any up close of how you're doing the bag each way
I appreciate your content here and on the podcast. Thank you.
Thank, Chris. I’ve suffered from inconsistent manipulation of the rear shooting bag. This video helped.
Appreciate all that you bring to the table Chris. Always searching each subject out to correlate with the end results and reverse engineering so to speak. I believe your info makes us all better and understanding how we each can improve. Thanks!
Why the 308W cartridge? There are many, as they say, better cartridges.
better for bridging to the rifle?
