Calculating the Average and Range of each sample for X-bar and R charts
Просмотров 2825 месяцев назад
We compute the average and range of data that has been collected. The Sample Size is how many pieces of information we collect each time. The average, X-bar, and the Range are graphed in two important control charts 1. X-bar chars 2. Range charts

P-chart Control Chart for Defect Rates

I made a mistake! The sample standard deviation is 0.026, not 0.0026 I have been looking around, and can’t find the piece of paper that had my notes on when I made the video. There are two possibilities. 1. I did the math wrong, and didn’t divide before taking the square root 2. I did the math right, but mis-read the decimal place on my piece of paper I hope it was #2, but #1 is also possible. ...
Facility Location - Factor Rating - computing weighted scores
Просмотров 945 месяцев назад
We start with scores for each location, in each category, on a 10 point scale. We multiply each of those scores by the weight for the category. We sum up those scores, and the facility with the highest total score wins, and is where we should locate our facility.

Inventory Re-order Point
Просмотров 226 месяцев назад
Inventory re-order point with random demand, where we assume that we are trying to achieve a certain probability of not running out of inventory during each order cycle. An order cycle is the time between when we place one order and then when we place the next one. An order arrives, and we have plenty of inventory. Then the inventory will go down low enough to reach our re-order point, and we w...

Understanding Shadow Prices in Excel Solver

In this video, we solve a simple two-variable maximization linear program, and we see how changes in the constraint right hand side lead to increases in profits, exactly the same amounts predicted by the Shadow Price
Extracting data from a graph using ScanIt from Amsterchem

ScanIt is free software available at www.amsterchem.com/downloads.html It does a really nice job of extracting data, particularly when all we want is the numbers at the data markers, not the data along a line.

Thank you for making this video
This is so helpful! Thank you so much!!!
Thank You So much:)
OMG! Thank you! Similar but different problem, I did not have a header above my data column (or the label column). My labels were part of the graph data but excel labeled each item in the legend as 1,2,3,4,etc.
I appreciate expressing the afford about extra jobs by using Excel.
Thanks for your tutorial it answered a few questions I needed answering. A great help.
Thanks. Your Video explained the seasonal index with an easy way.
How do you run the regression analysis for this project?
Sir when I look the my constraints' of Excel sensivity analysis table, I see the whole RHS numbers equal to 0. But actually all of them have a number. Even in some constraints the LHS and RHS equals to each other. I need to write down the binding and nonbinding constraints but in this case it wouldn't be possible. All my 17 constraints' RHS's equal to 0. Why? How can I change this? Thank you
Thanks for Sharing this
thank u so much really helpful video for assignment 4 of everyday excel part 2 coursera

Thanks

Thank you so much for this buddy.
Really helpful .. thank you very much.
Thanks!
Why is the probability of having one person in the system, the product of the probability of having zero person multiplied by the occupation rate? And does this formula also work for M/D/1 queue?
Thank you for the clarity! It looks simple with your explanations.
Best video so far. Good Job Ron
Thanks!
Sorry about all of the clicking. This was the first screen capture I did, and I didn't have time to fix it before I needed to get it posted. I have learned from my mistakes and managed to not do that anymore in future videos. Sorry about that.

How can i solve a quantity discount problem with a drawing ? The questions is; Tropic Citrus Products produces orange juice, grapefruit juice, and other citrus-related items. Tropic obtains fruit concentrate from a cooperative in Orlando that consists of approximately 50 citrus growers. The cooperative will sell a minimum of 100 cans of fruit concentrate to citrus processors such as Tropic. The cost per can is $9.90. Last year, a cooperative developed an incentive bonus program (IBP) to give an incentive to its large customers to buy in quantity. Here is how it works: If 200 cans of concentrate are purchased, 10 cans of free concentrate are included in the deal. In addition, the names of the companies purchasing the concentrate are added to a drawing for a new personal computer. The personal computer has a value of about $3,000, and currently about 1,000 companies are eligible for this drawing. At 300 cans of concentrate, the cooperative will give away 30 free cans and will also place the company name in the drawing for the personal computer. When the quantity goes up to 400 cans of concentrate, 40 cans of concentrate will be given away free with the order. In addition, the company is also placed in a drawing for the personal computer and a free trip for two. The value of the trip for two is approximately $5,000. About 800 companies are expected to qualify and to be in the running for this trip. Tropic estimates that its annual demand for fruit concentrate is 1,000 cans. In addition, the ordering cost is estimated to be $10.00, and the carrying cost is estimated to be 10%, or about $1.00 per unit. The firm is intrigued with the IBP. If the company decides that it will keep the trip or the computer if they are won, what should it do?
