@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc thanks brotha
@arnoldrodriguez6300 you're very welcome
It's a fuse F73 passenger fuse box 📦.
I fixed it in the end
Where did you get that head unit from if you don’t mind me askin?
I bought it off of eBay. It was 1/10 the cost of the factory radio
Have a Chrysler 200 one bulb went out i figured id replace it in a few days then the other bulb went out the next day so i was forced to have to replace them. On that car you have to drop the front bumper to replace the bulbs its so stupid
A lot of these newer cars are!
Can put in parking brake mode to service rear brakes piston will push right in
Just wanted to point out that the two 13mm starter mounting bolts have to be tightened to 37 Ft-lbs. Also, the 13mm nut securing the solenoid cable to 80 in-lbs.
Not a lot of help. Your hands are on the way. Can’t see what you’re doing.
You can't see much of anything even in person
What happened?
It was a bad steering angle sensor
Yep. Mine went too. 900.00 later!
Thanks for the video. Just organize your tools and the job won't take you near as long Just kidding I have the same problem
Dang mine is leaking didn’t think I was this involved. What happened to the good ole days
It's extremely involved. Older times was maybe two bolts hoses and cooler lines. If it's leaking though I'd definitely fix it. The Penta star engines don't like being overheated.
@ i know!! I’ve changed out a few radiators in older cars it’s not too bad. This will make me curse the whole day lol. I know i have to change it out it’s only a little leak now just been adding to it. Looks like next weekend project.
I've been wrenching for 35 years and this is by far my favorite Jack. I own 7 cars some lower some regular some lifted and this does it all the best part is how easy it rolls
Thank you for the video!
It literally took forever to show a couple minutes process ,all the word salad is agitating when ur busy
I like your video you went into detail great job on this video👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
would be nice if you actually showed where the injectors are located...
That's the hard thing. You can't see them unless you pull the rail out. They're literally in between the intake ports.
It’s really not a good idea to reuse refrigerant without at least recycling it.
Don’t know if I missed it in the video but what was the actual issue this caused? I read a camshaft sensor position error on mine but it lost power whilst driving the next day and won’t start.
It's hard to explain since there were quite a few different codes thrown. It called for intake camshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor but the customer put a cheap one in. I moved the exhaust side to intake and put a new one in the intake. It didn't really have any drivability issues.
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc ok thanks for the response, it’s going into Land Rover tomorrow for diagnostics - praying it’s not the chain and or a top end rebuild given it cut out gracefully with no noises!
@BNOCSK if your code is a correlation code then it could need timing done. If it only calls for a camshaft position sensor then the likelihood of it needing timing done is minimum. Typically camshaft and crankshaft correlation would need timing redone or relearned.
My code is for a camshaft gear…is it ever possible that a camshaft sensor could throw this code?
@sophian444 I don't think the cam gear has the reluctor wheel/ring on it.
Not a bad looking truck man! I like it. I’ve had dodges all my lifetime and only one time I was left stranded due to a bum clutch.
This one may very well have a bad head gasket.
Hopefully you can get it fixed and get her back on the road. Lot cheaper than buying a brand new truck that’s for sure!
@ryantrott9529 slowly but surely working my way to a look that I like
You are stopped ✋️
Did you have any issues putting the new sensor back in? With the open wrench
It came out and back in very easy
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc on mine I have a 2018 it’s been challenging but I have a 1/2 15mm socket. Will the swivel make it easier?
1/2”
@davidlea4154 making room is the key to taking it off. Remember if it leaks you'll have to do it again. If I remember correctly the intake is on that side. The intake is easy to take off. If your engine overheats too much it's done and that sensor not being tight enough will cause it to leak. Make the room needed to get right on to it and make sure it's tight with the thread sealer lock tight on it or Teflon tape
my 1989 Pontiac had headlights that cost 15$ an took 2 minutes to replace.
Thanks for the helpful video! Wouldn’t have attempted the camera replacement myself without this video, not too bad of a job. Took me about 11/2 hours, would suggest doing this when it’s warm out or inside a climate controlled environment. Plastic stuff gets brittle when cool, need to finesse those plastic parts. I like having my camera working all the time, not intermittent.
Glad I could help! ☺️ Consider subscribing and sharing the channel
What was the reason you changed out the gasket? Was it a misfire code that leaked oil into spark plugs?
This thing ran horrible. I changed the valve cover gasket because it was leaking oil everywhere. Even after changing it it started leaking again because the engine was bad
Fords…just not worth the time. Thanks.
Your defeat still helped so I could see what I would be getting into. I got a leak at the transfer unit rear output. I'm thinking I might just have to change the seal but getting that drive shaft off looks tough
This is the second time my audio has just went out due to the power amplifier/ car settings screen. If I touch the volume dial it would glitch and turn it down all the way without me being able to turn it back up. Alongside with my AC working but no showing anything indicating that it works
Thank you dor the advice of removing the sway bar, im just about to get into this right now.
If you disconnect the wire clip going to that servo motor you can get a deep 19mm socket on the sensor.
For the love of god, how do you remove that 14mm bolt on the intake manifold bracket? My flexible box wrench won’t get a grip of it.
I think I used a stubby wrench on this. I honestly can't remember
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc open side of the wrench?
Read online it’s very complicated to do! and that only professional should do it, Is it true?
It's not horrible
Can I remove the bottom alternator bolt without jacking the car up? Looks accessible without raising the car
I did all of this without jacking it up.
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc Thanks man, I think my alternator is bad and draining my battery overnight. Appreciate your video and for getting back to me so quick!
Damn show more. I have to change my camshaft
This vehicle has been long gone. The camshafts are easy to replace on these engines. I don't have a video of it but they're really easy
I am a 50 yr exp Auto upholster/Boat top guy, your video SUCKS
Just did one without removing intake
what did you use to tight the sensor?
@dannyraygoza6945 3/4 deep socket if I'm not mistaken
@dannyraygoza6945 unless you're talking about Ralph
What the ball at the bottom of the intake with all the lines to it called my caught fire and has a hole in it😢 🎉❤🎉
Bad place to JACK up by, will cause damage to the vehicle as that isn't a JACK POINT it's not NASCAR with a full frame, bending the body from the UNIBODY of how it's made. Will see doors not lining up by front to back and the fenders. Causes damage to the UNIBODY FRAME. Sad to see this because he sounds like he knows something about vehicles and scanning vin # I'm shocked as voided body warranty as I'm sure it's dented right there, JACK point just behind front wheel and just infront of rear wheel. Look at the JACK that comes with it or look at the book to JACK up. Won't say that is a great place. NASCAR yes. But made for it and they still break on them and they know it gets jacked alot by the point. Full race frame on NASCAR. Good luck. Not worth getting sued over. Unless you use stands and setup right. Your the guy that EMS will come save you under car and JACK falls on you. Good luck, hope you think about your family next time. Takes one mistake and I know. But here to talk, just can't do much.
I couldnt agree more, but im sure your words are lost on him, i doubt its his car, he didnt even know the year
Thank you sir You are a lifesaver Just changed my headlights
I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee 3.2l Trailhawk. I’ve replaced the throttle body, the mass air flow temp sensor and the accelerator pedal with sensor. After each replacement of each part, the red lightening bolt indicator would return. Some drives it wouldn’t happen, but most times I take it out, it pops back up on my dash board. Is there something that I’m missing as to why this keeps happening?
After working on this vehicle for quite some time she ended up taking it to Dodge and they said that this vehicle is notorious for having a bad PCM and wiring harness so she ended up getting rid of the vehicle and got something else
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc I’m beginning to see why so many people get rid of these jeeps. I’ve had mine for about 3 years now and I’ve replaced the oil filter housing because it broke and leaked, I’ve replaced the shifter bezel wiring harness because of the “service transmission” light, now all this I’ve replaced and I’m still having the red lightening bolt pop up. There is just way too much going on with these vehicles and all the sensors and computers.
@MidwestRCcrawler did you scan it to see what's causing it? Anything electrical would trigger the light as well. Bad ignition coil, bad alternator, bad O2 sensor, bad knock sensor, back camshaft position sensor, bad VVT solenoid, the list goes on and on anything that is electrical or has a plug in would cause that light to come on
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc I haven’t scanned it. I have no check engine light and so all I’ve found to remedy this issue was to clean the throttle body, which I did. Didn’t fix it. Replaced the throttle body, Didn’t fix it. Replace the mass air flow temp meter, didn’t fix it. Replace the accelerator pedal position sensor, didn’t fix it. But no, I haven’t scanned it for anything else.
@@MidwestRCcrawler I would scan it just to be on the safe side that way you can see exactly what is causing it even though an engine light is not on there still could be an electrical problem that is not presented itself enough to trigger an engine light
Please tell me what tool you used to get in the upper outter torx screw holding on the square ballast. The frame is QUITE in the way..!
I used a quarter drive torx bit from Cornwell tools.
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc thx but I am wondering what you used to turn that bit.?
Same. No idea how I'm going to get the last screw out.
@@shillpolice7981 I got it! Ended up using a small allen wrench to get the screw by the frame out.
@@jessar2003yea I wasn’t sure if Allen would get in there and could not find a single for sale to try it. May have been another thread I posted but found a screwdriver with a flex hose spade that has a t-15 torx in the kit…. It’s a POS but it got it from the underside of that frame member standing under hood and made the other three screws gravy. It was 10bux. I’m gonna have to take em out again because the bulbs I got 2for30bux aren’t great and wife don’t like em. But I’m not scared about anything other than possibility of losing a screw😮. And that’s BAD.. but thx for letting me know that Allen fits. But for those reading try the harbor freight flex driver you can get all four off in 2 mins flat. Just turns like a screwdriver while you guide the flex tip..
Will monster regular work?
My smart is 100 degree c before the fan starts. Runs very hot with a new temp sensor
U did good explain this then all the other videos thanks bro
I don't think you need to remove the steering wheel to get to the ignition switch. Just pull the front cover and the steering covers.
In order to gain access like I needed to everything had to come off. The column cover actually locks into the cover on the back of the steering wheel and it doesn't move back enough to snap apart.
@@bradsautomotiveandmarinellc I changing out my ignition now as I'm typing this on my 2016 jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK. The steering wheel does not need to come out. I pulled the upper and lower steering covers and I can get access to the ignition switch very easily. FYI. Again, it may be different with your 2017 but I'm sure jeep has learn to make it all common on the JK
good informative video, thanks
I didn't know this. Why? Because I never get to handle hundreds! 🤣😂🥲😢😭😠😡
Would help if you showed HOW to remove it. My auto parts store can get the part numbers.
How to remove what? The AC seals?
My mechanic said it’s the car from hell 😂
It really was
Man I wish you would show how you did it. Taking off the air box and the light.
Worst video… same value as making a pb&j.
I apologize. This was my first attempt at making a how to video and regret not having the camera rolling the entire time.
