Trinidad Olive (N Incei) tarantula and vinegaroon care
Просмотров 8956 лет назад
This video is my hello to RUclips. I introduce my N Incei (Trinidad Olive) tarantula and giant vinegaroon. I discuss their care, temperament, and husbandry.
How often do you put water in and spray the sides ?
I hate spiders, but I can’t help thinking the jumping spider and the Brazilian Jewel arachnid are beautiful and cute.
Excelente video saludos desde México
What type of containers are the smaller ones? I'm trying to find the perfect container for a .75 caribena versicolor
This is a fantastically informative video. I just got into the hobby of keeping tarantulas about five months ago. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
there are no recent vids? are you not active anymore????
Thinking s see voir getting one of these
I appreciate your content but would love it even more if you would mix your audio a little better. The intro is just a little too loud 😅
Hello i just ordered a Versi color sling and this video will help for sure!!
My aviculara aviculara sling at 1/2" is my first spider. I have it in a room thats 25C and 60%-70% humidity. The room is primarily my snake room and my sling enclosure is a 4.5" deli cup upside down with another one with the top cut out and the lid on to make the soil layer. I have a bottle cap for drinking. I dont have to do anything on the top since its bottom opening. The sling made a web 4 days after being in the new enclosure and is eating great. I hope it will grow to adult i was primarily trying to get an aviculara caribena versicolor but they didnt have any. I was told that they are extremely hard to keep as slings but i really wanted to try and figured the room is ideal already for thats species. My first enclosure the breeder said to keep it in was similar to yours but half the size and in that room the sling kept circling the vial and looked uncomfortable after 3 days. So i made a new one with massive amount of cross ventilation and since then it circled for 2 days and since settled down. It has always eaten regularly 2 times a week. I hope im doing everything right i did 4 months prior research on multiple youtube vids and a few breeders before buying the spider. I have gotten later on a bracipelma hamorii as a worst case so i at least have a spider and dam it eats ALOT. I accidentally put in 5 crickets and they were all gone in 3 hours!!
Hello ma'am, i was wondering if I could have an update on your homeoma sp. blue Tarantulas? I ordered a couple and saw your comment on Tom Moran's video, are they still cute and inquisitive little guys lol?
hey:) what kind of enclosure is the one for the juvenile? I'm planning on rehousing mine soon but I still need a bigger and better enclosure
Hey Rachel! Great video! :) I bought an olive female so I now have a gold and olive female and I believe I might have a male who will mature on his next moult so hopefully I can pair those 2 😊
This was a nice vlog why it sttop
Pointing out the importance of cross ventilation and showing something else is a bit strange
Great video thank you thank you!!!
I really wish someone had told me about how flighty they are as slings when I purchased it. Just got it, love it, and I hope it survives. Scares me sometimes with how fast they are.
I’m pretty recent to watching these videos and had wondered about the term true spider a lot. Thank you for clearing that up. I would love more informative videos you could throw our way.
I’m glad you found it helpful, Vickie! :)
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 Why don’t you still put content up? I found you so interesting as a biologist.
@@vickiegray690 Creating and editing videos takes a lot of time, and unfortunately I just don’t have time to spare right now.
Rachael, need to see some new content from you !!!!!!
I would love to make more videos eventually. Unfortunately right now I just don’t have the time.
Does the vial have holes only in the top or the main part as well? Just got 3 of them and want to make everything right, they are AMAZING. Thank you
That vial only had top holes, but you can certainly drill some tiny ones in the sides, as well. More ventilation is never a bad idea :)
What enclosure did you use?
The spiderling was in a 60 dram pill vial.
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 And what about the enclosure at the very end?
@@Bombarty I’m not sure where that was from. I got it as a hand me down. I think it was originally from pioneer plastics, maybe?
hi i know that there is a low chance you will see this but can you tell me more about that tape of spiter ty
how large is the female?
She was just about 2.5 inches
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 is it leg span or diagonal leg span. I thought its bigger in the video! :). Did she drop a sac?
@@kooneho4083 diagonal leg span. She did not. She unfortunately died in her next molt.
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 awwww, sorry to hear that.
First time on the channel. Thanks for the elaborate information 👌
I got one of them it’s spiderling so exciting when they shed
Yes! There’s nothing like watching the incredible changes they go through with each molt!
Great video!!! I loved this explanation and beautiful quality❤
Thanks so much, Wheezy! Maybe I’ll eventually get around to making more videos :)
I loved this video! Thanks for making it!
Thank you very much for the quality info
How can you tell when if you have too much ventilation? I actually made holes all around but I think I could have over done it. Lol
Walt R. Buck it’s pretty much impossible to have too much ventilation :)
Walt R. Buck just keep a little moisture in there at all times, and you’ll be fine. Extra ventilation is not a problem :)
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 Awesome I appreciate this. It eases my concerns considerably. Right now the substrate is moist with water in a shallow bottle cap for it.
everybody has labels for their Tarantulas, I feel so unprofessional.
Crawfish
How fast do they grow?
Walt Thomas moderate rate for this species. Two-three years for full growth :)
Awesome video
Great video and really helpful. thanks!
Educating video, you explained things very well. And I also liked that it's not just a typical feeding, rehousing or husbandry clip. Your content is very informative and interesting. Would love to see you doing RUclips videos again!
New subscriber here! Thanks for the great info it helps a newbie you tuber like me!
Can you pet, stroke and handle them?
Mae Auditore they do not enjoy or get any benefit from handling, so I generally don’t.
New sub 👌😎
Male T: Hey girl how you doing - Female T: hey Im great thanks wbu? Male T: cool wanna smash, Female T: sure ok be quick or Ima eat you lol, Male inserts - Ok see you again hopefully lol
How long after mating dose the female produce an egg sack ? My pair mated months ago .
Great video. I just paired my Lasiodora parahybana with a mature male i got from Deen's Tarantulas on a breeding loan. I'm trying to get my room set up to start doing videos. Now once my CV make a web i spray the web. They will drink from the web.
how big should they be as a juve, i've brought one of these from a local shop and they told me he is a juve but when i look at him/her they can't be no bigger than 3/4cm . is this right or have i been sold a sling. plus do they start getting their purple hairs as a juve or is that just as a adult..... as you can tell i'm quite new too owning T's
BoyBettaKnow2010 sounds like you have a spiderling :) They’re so fun to watch grow! You’ll start seeing adult coloration at the late juvenile stage :)
@@rachaels8-leggedwonders160 thanks for getting back to me, yeah just as I thought it was. That's not a problem it's just nice to know how old he or she is
So much information, thank you.
made it clear, thanks for the info.
I wish you'd make more videos! I've had a tough time finding care notes from a Tom-approved/scientific source on YT, obviously there's a ton of care info for more common species, but 5 of mine have not been recorded on YT in a husbandry notes fashion. Incei, Y. diversipes, N. Chromatus, P. cambridgei, you can find some care info but nothing more than a sentence or two. So, definitely a gap you fill! Thanks!
Just got my first one,and my first arboreal. Really excited to watch it grows. Hope it grows well.
I found an interesting looking spider that made a funnel web and I am having a debate with my brother-in-law he doesn't think it's a tarantula but I'm not sure, I have a picture if I could send it to you. I am very curious to know what you think. I found your video after trying to find information about spiders versus tarantulas online your video was the best and very clear explanation!
If anyone can help me quickly that’s great.. I have a juvenile pink toe and I had 3 different enclosures for it - I originally got a tub because I didn’t realize it was so small so I put it into a pickle jar with dirt and a piece of wood to climb - and a water dish.. the only thing I’m worried about is it not finding it’s food in a shorter enclosure.. I have a third one which isn’t tall but it’s a bit longer and idk what to do - I want to make sure it’s healthy and I’m fretting too much about it not finding it’s crickets
You haven't uploaded in a year are u ok
You are so kind to ask! ❤️ Yes, I am fine, I’ve just had to take a break from YT due to my job. I travel often which makes devoting many hours to video recording difficult.
Hearing that they're a very delicate species is mighty discouraging. I've done my reading on standard T care beforehand, but when I went to get mine today and came across this variation; I was told they're decent starters. Ack.
