Prefer using my drone when I can to videotape, but will use my iPhone and camera if need too. Ships and anything related to shipping are my main interest, but will videotape anything that different, unique and interesting.

They’re preparing a lock gate for removal at lock 7 in Thorold on January 7, 2025. The tug Salvage Monarch and the heavy lift barge Coastal Titan will be carrying the gate to an area above the lock once it’s been detached from the wall. It’s one of two gates that will be removed this week and will be towed to Port Colborne to be scrapped. Once the gates are gone, they will put 2 gates that were...

Its a pretty street ( and I lived there for 28 years). If you wanna see an amazing sight go see the house on York road in Queenston. You can walk around their yard. It is truly amazing (on a whole different level). But thanks for this very cool view.
I've seen their decoration from the neighboring property. Didn't know you can walk around the property. Guess I'll go this December and check it out with a closer view.
I remember watching theodore tugboat when i was younger
What is it?
It’s a spare gate for the locks in the Welland canal. It’s one of two 90 feet long gates that I know of. They have several 35 feet long gates in storage. They’ve been in storage since the canal opened in 1932.
One time I visited the monument and his arm was lying on the ground. That's when I could see how big this statue is. Do you know how high up in the air it is?
56 metres (185 feet) high
Sir Issac Brock. My favorite war hero. "The man who saved Canada"
To be immediately decommissioned and scraped lol, what a joke the navy has become
Perhaps learning how to use a camera might help
Super rare view
Beautiful lady unfortunately no longer with us. 😢

Nice video !
Thanks
That train is on the move
The video material is very good. However, because the camera angles are changed so minutely, the video is very difficult to watch. Most professional photographers only use the zoom at the beginning and end, and once they decide on a camera angle, they rarely move it. I've seen your other videos and I think it's better to use a tripod when shooting from the ground. I look forward to your future...
good vid !

Nice fresh paint where are you located ?
I’m located about 15 miles from. Niagara Falls, Ontario
The pilots and captains of these pilot boats must think it's worth it, whatever their salary!!🚣♀
I couldn’t travel on those kinds of waves.
It looks like they are doing maintenance on the covo-tecs on lock 4. I wonder if the centre Cavo-tec at lock 7 is going to be serviced as well? (Maybe they have already done so) It has been out of service since May of 2023. Great drone footage.
Pretty cool looking with the drone footage. I bet they are just waiting for their next big boat to come through- looks like it’s working well.
The Welland canal is going to open on March 22, 2024.
@@birdseye-view68 thank you! I hope you get the chance to film it! I loved your drone skills it was great to watch!
This video is sad. I travelled so many times on that ferry as a kid. It was a great ship navigating in the most beautiful sceneries on the St-Laurence river in Quebec. I feel nostalgic looking at this video!
She didn’t look that bad when she came through the canal. Could’ve kept her as a backup just in case
They kept her a little while, but it could have been longer. Thank you for sharing, it makes a souvenir on youtube :)
Hope you are well. I am sincerely sorry to disturb you. Your videos are fine but your videos are not getting views. Moreover, the number of subscribers to your RUclips channel is also very low. I checked out your RUclips channel. I found some problems. 1. SEO Score is very low 2. No Title - Description - Tag SEO friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your RUclips Channel. If you do proper SEO of your videos and SEO of your channel, your videos will go viral very quickly. You can generate a good view. Hope you understand my point. I am always ready to solve your problem.
Ditto to your last post. Anxiously looking forward to the opening of the new shipping season.⏳
I can’t wait for the shipping season to start.
Very nice, and well done! Normally don't like the music with yours, but this was perfect. Keep up the good work.👍
Nice Video👌🏻 Maintenance or Changing the automatic mooring system? Greets from Germany
Pretty sure they refurbished the pads.
Great vid, good !

What vessel is this
At the time it was abandoned it was called La Grande Hermine (The Great Ermine in English) and is a replica. The boat is a former ferry boat built in Lauzon, Qc in 1914. She was then named Le Progrès.
what drone do you use to capture your footage?
Mini 4 Pro
Wow the St Mary’s Cement II ATB is far, FAR larger than I expected her to be. Never get to see her up on Lake Superior so all I know about her is from Marine traffic photos since she’s never talked about. I was under the impression she was maybe 200-300ft but this looks closer to the 500s or 600s. That’s a significant vessel
Hey. You found us trying to kite in very light winds. Unfortunetly it didn't last long. Thanks for catching us playing in the water and sharing!!
It’s sad seeing her like that 😢
Yes it is.
nice !
Thanks!
Water back in canal yet???
No not yet. The canal opens around March 22. So probably be filled in just before that date.
You do what you can in the winter months. I understand that though a lot of people apparently don't!🐻❄🐻❄🐻❄
Was the tug on the port side?
The tug was at the stern of barge.
What a beautiful ol' gal she is 😊
Как запущен водяной путь, каналы забиты мусором, бетонное дно полопалось, видно что упадок..
There’s no water because they doing some work on the lock walls and other things. Winter is the only time that they can do maintenance. Can’t do in the summer since it’s full of water and the ships are using it.
