Watching - Please, 1968/69

Please is a band from the late 1960's which had never released a single album together, yet the band's music has influenced the members' works across their other groups (vast in numbers) whom all became majorly respected within the rock n roll underbelly of progressive and experimental music. Examples would be bands like T2, Gun, Neon Pearl, Bulldog Breed, Three Man Army, the Flies, and the Bak...

Yes It Is - Beatles VI (Mono Remaster), the Beatles
Do you have the beatles 65 album the USS version as well?
Sorry fat fingered meant the US one.
It's George who sings! Stop spreading misinformation.
The best album in my opinion
ÉXITO DE JHONLENON.
I love love love pete best but he only had one drum fill…
Does anybody knows why it didn’t appear in Anthology 1?
My favourite recording from the Decca audition. I'm glad that it came out in "Anthology I", but sorry that it didn't see the light of (non-bootleg) day until then.
We feel by my side
This sounds like Dennis O’Bell performing in Slagger’s.
Sempre fantastici ❤❤❤
George was lead vocal on this one!
Nah this HAS to be John
John doing his best Buddy Holly impression
👍👍👍👍
I wish they released this has a album
Chingones los Beatles 😮😂❤❤
Los verdaderos Beatles 😢😅😊
Wow, his voice has such a surprising clarity…It pulled me in just like the intro of "Mr. Moonlight." Paul is a genius-his vocal range, technique, and the versatility of his voice are all areas where he surpasses both John and George. But I feel George and John had something Paul couldn’t imitate: that unique, irreplaceable voice that could captivate you instantly.
You do realise that George Harrison is the one on lead vocals, right? Neither John Lennon nor Paul McCartney are on lead vocals here. Just thought I'd check.
@@c.syde65 Sorry for the confusion. When I said "his voice," I was referring to George's voice. What I meant was that George's vocals often go overlooked, but they’re just as captivating as John's vocals in "Mr. Moonlight." I wanted to praise the unique qualities of all three vocalists in JPG, but my poor English caused some misunderstanding. I truly appreciate George's talent and wanted to highlight it here.
@@燃えパイ Yeah, I did sort of figure that. But I wanted to make sure, just in case.
Pete Best doing the same thing throughout the entire song. Almost as if he's completely deaf and has to play the same beat because he can't hear how far through the song they are.
I just love this song
Great voice, and great to hear his youthful cocky confidence,
Krásná písnička ❤
No iys not
That’s witerally so crazy bro 😔😔🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
One of the two best songs from the Decca sessions. The second, or rather the first and best, is Love of the Loved
Most interesting track from beatles decca sessions
The movie called 1964 is coming out November 2024.
this is George in the lead. Fantastic and very sweet.
John's voice here is so sweet, so loving.
Brilliant timeless song.
You can just hear John holding back on the vocals. This is one of the most restrained vocals of a rock song he ever performed.
Geez how many Beatle songs did Cilla Black cover? LOL
The musical performance/lyrics sound a bit amateur but the melody and chords are so beautifully written. Quite soon (and with Ringo joining) they're sound would catch up with their already impressive song writing abilities.
Another great singer, don’t you agree?
Pete's drumming is very pedestrian. George's guitar is wonderful, the kid was 19 years old. Paul was trying to be Elvis, LOL.
This just....doesn't work. My Bonnie fit a rock and roll version, but this Jazz standard just doesn't.
The Please Please Me version is better, but the definitive Money version is the one the Plastic Ono Band did on Live Peace in Toronto.
I was 18 y.o in 1980 when my father love to play his songs. Now, l m 62 y.o. l still love his songs so much.
A magical voice. Very captivating!
God, these were all horrible. Thank god decca did not sign them. It would have only encouraged this crap.
they chose the rolling stones, a thousand times worse crap than beatles at the time
Sounds a lot like 'Bad to Me'
Not half
I like the fact that there’s no Ringo. I’ve never liked him as a drummer. He was not much better than Pete, but they were ulterior motives for removal. I feel personally. Not really because he wasn’t a good drummer 🥁
Is that a joke? If Ringo Starr was half the drummer he was, he'd still be better than Pete Best.
@ well this is your opinion, and you are entitled to it.
@@Catsrock-u7y Even if Pete Best was as good as Ringo Starr, Ringo was still the final wheel of the car that the others were looking for. It wasn't just about the drums. But also the chemistry.
@ you are entitled to your opinion, sir I understand just as we all are, but we respect one another.
@@Catsrock-u7y True.
Just think, if they were signed by Decca, there would be no Ringo ether. That would have been very nice. ❤❤
Why would no Ringo be very nice??
@@thomaspappalardo7589 cause the Beatles would have remained intact.. nothing like the real thing.
@@Catsrock-u7y The Beatles with Ringo is absolutely the real thing and superior to the Pete Best era in every way. And if they were at Decca, no George Martin to translate and enhance their musical ideas. What are you smoking? 😂
@@thomaspappalardo7589 To be blunt and direct Pete Best was infinitely more attractive.
pure shite, thats why decca rejected them
Pete😂
The greatest rock & roll song ever written, regardless of who sings it.
This version gives me a haunting feeling, I love it.
The good old days. Love the youthful voice of Paul McCartney.
Worst Beatles production ever cause Decca produced same sound with all their artists. Outdated recording techniques and low fidelity recording equipment. Thank God for George Martin !
@dubdoodle7191 these were audition demos, why tf do you think they'll be produced stellar? I agree the tech of the time sounds out-dated, but the early Beatles albums are like exceptionally well produced pop albums. Even most non-Decca artists had compression and sound issues. And also, a lot of early Beatles recodds have kinda aged production wise (mainly with drum mic'ing and the stereo mixes being so jarring; mono mixes have aged by virtue of stereo being dominant). Love George Martin though, man did wonders for the band and their creativity.
