    hi, great video, tx. i have a question. in a BS34 carb is there a part that is a 1/8th inch diameter ball bearing? a few months ago i replaced the needle valves on my two BS34 carbs [ for an xs650]. no problems. today i began to disassemble the same carbs to replace the 4 shaft seals. at the beginning of the disassembly i decide to remove the carb diaphragms to view the threaded tips of the butterfly mounting screws. i started with the left carb, removed the diaphragm cover, spring and diaphragm. i then tilted the carb and heard something fall on the table. it was the bearing. i looked everywhere inside and out and could not find an opening that would take this bearing. i repeated the same process with the right side carb but no bearing dropped out. is this bearing a foreign object that shouldn't be there? tx Miko

    • @weeverob
      @weeverob 9 лет назад

      +Rob Weaver i should have persevered.....the bearing was a part of the choke linkage, a rotting fiction bearing that hold the shaft position. evidently someone before me messed with the carb and omitted the 2nd ball bearing and 2 springs. problem solved, adios.

    sounds good... Mine didn't run well at all until I blocked the vacuum lines. I used .177 caliber pellets! Just pushed it up inside the vacuum line.

  • @garystratton4125
    @garystratton4125 9 лет назад

    The vacuum tubing from one to 2 needs to have a little ballbearing inside to block air flow..That is what I do with them. Otherwise they will draw air from each other and really doesn't do anything for the air fuel mixture.. You will run lean because of too much air... You got to block the vacuum lines.

    Thanks for this. I've been given a Washburn acoustic (dreadnought style) and there's no strap button near the neck. I've been using a lace and tying the strap behind the nut... but the balance just isn't right for me. I shall try this...or get someone else to do the drilling.

    @saira munir, I think your guitar is left handled so that you think the button is in the bottom. It actually in a proper side if it really left handled. Anyway when u tie on the head if guitar, it shouldnt be too short. Everybody do that style, all u need is try to find another strap. IMHO

    Guitar is badly out of adjustment. You have at least 3 to 4 times the string height needed. Sand down the bridge. You'll find it plays much easier and sound better.
