The vettes got faster and more reliable as they progressed (exceptions were the 72-78s, pretty much garbage through and through) but I guess my choice if I was going to be a first time vette owner would be to pick the C1, which never was overpowered for it's suspension capabilities, if I was going for the C2 I'd be very careful with it until I learned every little washout, and practice maneuvering in a big space with no obstacles, due to the fact that the C2 and C3 had a tendency to head directly for them under power.

Would love to have one of those white or black C1 convs.... really do... would pay big...

Another great video RR. And a belated congrats on breaking thru the 2k subscriber mark. I can remember never missing an episode of Route 66 and it was because of the Corvette which it pretty much starred in the series. I own a 2014 Corvette Stingray 7 sp manual and I believe manuals went away with the C8 so last C 7 was 2019 my car with my options would be 20 thousand more for the C8 and no luggage space is less I can take 2 golfbags plus spacefor luggage for 2 people and Have done trips of 3200 4800 and 1800 plus if you take trips and it's raining you will need All season tires instead of track tires when I sold my tires after 8000 miles and I have 70 k miles on my 🚗

The King of the Hill had it all and even today it's one of the most sought-after Corvette ever and can hold it's own even against the later generations. Try and find one though. But GM has done it again with the release of the C8 ZR1 with 1,064 hp. That is absolutely bonkers. Save the Wave 🙋‍♂️

Nobody can tell "the best" time... It is definitely a good time to buy cash especially if one "needs" to buy a car or a long dreamed car is within budget thanks to discounts... with credit though a bit longer is needed.... It would be when interest rates start to go down which I expect within two months...
