ABC's of the bush (All Bases Covered) Be prepared when you head out into the bush. Plan ahead, carry the right gear, stay alive. Watch this video! A lot of recent SAR operations around the country have sparked this little video about what I think you should carry when you head out into the wild for a day, cause a sudden streak of misfortunate events or straight up bad luck can turn a day walk i...
Goodbye
Shut the hell up and get to it
21:05 I trap in Kansas and primitive traps are absolutely allowed as long as you have the appropriate license and permit along with permission from the property owner.
@tcbink learn a little something new everyday. Hope your comment is helpful to someone. Cheers, have a great day
Thanks, will be solo hiking in NZ, this could be very helpful.
Don't excuse or apologize for survival. Wokeism sucks.
Great instruction

Make short video traps
Brilliant bro
❤nice bridge
Thanks for the great detailed video Robert. I will try these.
I'm into woodworking as well as trapping. So, yeah, keep video making in the front of your mind. :)
Wonderful video. Thank you!!
Mangle, strangle, dangle, and tangle. Got it
i have waited for 7 years for Part 2.
Just came across your videos. Enjoy learning something new. Thanks
Fasten the snare to an eyelet on the trigger rope above the cross bar, thus allowing the game to be pulled up without fastening on the cross bar.

Thanks Robert 😊👍👍
would love the new parts to this series please, if you are still on youtube
Hey mate, thanks Sorry, RUclips took a back seat to life. And I moved back to Canada.
Thank you
Strangle, mangle, tangle and dangle 😂
I tell my son.. you're never too old to learn things, just don't wait until your older to learn these things..I wished I hadn't...anyways, another great tutorial..!
Great presentation!
Thanks, wish I had time to continue it
@@robertnoel2363 watching the toggle release traps vid now! I think a lot of people wish you'd make more too! Anyways good stuff and thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Wish you would make more videos......
Thank you, i wish i had time. Too many hobbies and life commitments unfortunately
@@robertnoel2363 OK....
Too Bad you don't make videos anymore!
Thanks for walking this through. I am putting together a 17th c backwoods kit for historical reenactment and this is now on my to do list. 👍

Great video. I'm glad you're talking about L7 here. Something I learned recently is in tree felling the L is also a conventional face cut, while the 7 is a Humboldt face cut. Does anyone know any more dualities with L7? Like tension and compression, it's everywhere.
ok... i might need to save this for later...
Thats a lot of talking. Making the whole video boring.
When you already know it all, it surely makes for a long video. Others have probably gotten what they wanted.
Al fin alguien muestra una trampa en detalle, felicitaciones.
ok im totally confused on what is holding the string thats connected to the sapling tree on the trap?
It's a trigger stick commonly referred to as an L7. When the noose is pulled on it dislodges the "L" and releases the sapling
Such an easy trap
I think that my vertical stick would be a stake in the ground. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
My experience is that the chance of a stake interfering with the deadfall is greater than a free standing vertical stick. The idea is to have all the components "shoot away" from the weight so as not to fall under it and make a potential void that the animal could survive in; and escape from.
@@robertnoel2363 G’day, Robert. I figured that. But the prolonged balancing act looks like a delicate, frustrating exercise. Thanks for the details of the triggers. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
@@jackvoss5841 oh it is a pain...but thats what makes the trap effective in going off when a mouse nibbles a sunflower seed. Lol
Snare nooses can be a fishing leader of small cable with spring clips on each end. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
thank you for the detail it helps so much
So far I like your videos but you need to show your knots your clove hitch and such a camera is too close at times
I think it's legal for me because I'm Metis. I might give these a try for real. I think there might be complications though if I record it and try to profit from it over RUclips.
Thank you for this block of instruction.!! I have found that your patience to describing everything that you have desired to share with me th viewer, to have been very helpful, & openly shown. Some of th other folks who have tried to show & tell these trapping & snaring videos, have failed to being so open to explaining show thing in detail. Good Job.!!
You are very welcome my friend. I wish i had more time to continue teaching...maybe one day!
You do a amazing job of teaching Thank You
Thanks
Hey man. Great content on your channel. I really enjoyed your. approach ti cracking the wood and/ but still using it. Learning a lot of the good stuff here !
Thanks mate. Unfortunaley life took over and i dont really do videos anymore...maybe someday i will get back at it
@@robertnoel2363 Sorry to hear.! Life has a tendency to do that... Take care and stay strong!
Bandaid on the thumb is a nice touch.
Great video! I used to teach an almost identical trap to my Boy Scout Wilderness survival students. The only difference is we had the leg Loop go around the outside of the frame so that it would pull the animal off the ground. That way they could not bite through the string if you were using paracord instead of wire. Just an idea to add to your quiver.
Absolutely! When you get down to using a trap like this; any advantage helps.
Amazing. Thanks for this
