Based on Boris Pasternak's 1957 novel of the same name, David Lean's epic historical romance Doctor Zhivago was released in 1965. Robert Bolt wrote the script. The story takes place in Russia during both the Russian Civil War and World War I. Omar Sharif plays the titular character, Yuri Zhivago, a married doctor and poet whose life is affected by the Russian Revolution and the subsequent civil war. Julie Christie plays Lara Antipova, his love interest. Supporting cast members include Geraldine Chaplin, Tom Courtenay, Rod Steiger, Alec Guinness, Ralph Richardson, Siobhan McKenna, and Rita Tushingham.

Thank you for putting the presentation in an appropriate pacing in the change of visuals. It gives the viewer like myself to read the text and be able to remember the actors in the cast ... I was 7yrs old when Dr Zhivago was released in 1965 and didn't get to watch it in its entirety until I was a college student in 1975-1979. It remains one of my all-time favorites!My father introduced me the film's theme music Lara's Theme and his favorite song SOMEWHERE MY LOVE.

Nice clickbait! LMAO But, that is NOT Julie Christie! Hardly anyone sees her anymore and she recently said she doesn't even know who that woman was when she was in the great sweeping romantic epic film, "Dr. Zhivago" which I saw six times in a row when it first came out in my teens! The cinematography was gorgeous, the acting superb! Always thought it should have gotten the Best Picture Academy Award, but it only got a nomination for Best Picture! No one should ever make a remake, but this movie was pure perfection, imho!

Sir Ralph Richardson was one of the greatest actors of the 20th Century English-language theater, ascending to the height of his profession in the mid-1930s when he became a star in London's West End.
