Uncle Bud Doing Stuff
Добавлен 22 янв 2014
This channel is about Uncle Bud Doing Stuff. This is a channel for construction, landscaping and auto repair, and fixing other things that happen.
This might be better known as the Jim Butt Crack Channel, because my pants occasionally fall down. Also I occasionally do something dangerous or incorrectly according to the conventional wisdom. Repeat at your own risk.
Most of it is dangerous, don't try any of this stuff period, and if something goes wrong, call the 1-800 complaint hotline.
Do I need to tell you my qualifications? Nah, nobody likes a blow hard.

TOOL UNBOXING Harbor Freight, Ryobi, Gallanz Refrigerator
SWEET JESUS
I know. I am around powerful stuff all the time, and to have something like this come down right in front of you was really impressive. What struck me was how fragile these things actually are. This thing was only on the ground a few minutes and then vanished back up into the clouds after all of that destruction.
I went through something similar last week on my chicken coop. You kept your cool a whole lot better than I. Just today, I was able to replace the cord on my Skil SPT67WM. Now onto the next screw up. All right Uncle Bud, don't let them get you down.
Cutting the cord is a day in the life for some of us. Nothing like the little spark followed by silence when you go through it.
You're a very handy gentleman! I like your idea of shimming the tray up the way you did. Seems more ergonomic. Cheers, good sir!
I think the idea of the wedges is to hold the load fairly level however the engineer who invented the plastic ones should probably rethink.
I recently did a video on me re-organizing my shop. Well, one side of it. It's a work in progress. So, I can appreciate this video. My biggest problem with tool boxes like your red one, is that they end up being a collect all cabinet for me. I have a nice Craftsman one that I picked up from a garage sale. I'm trying my hardest to not let it clutter. I need to seriously decide what screwdrivers and pliers I really need and donate the rest. Mostly to my boys. LoL! Thank you for sharing your journey on this and you have a new subscriber. God bless.
Thanks for that. I sometimes see accumulation of clutter to be a way of saving time. Instead of taking five minutes at the end of 12 projects, sometimes it's just as well to throw your stuff into a pile and spend an hour to rearrange it. At this point I was coming to the point of exasperation in not being able to find tools, which got to be a productivity issue. I don't have much of a "shop" but still have an abundance.
If you had built a really hot fire you wouldn’t have to do anything

May I ask if anything in your pond died? I am trying to work out what sealers and glues I can use in the pond that does not kill snails, shrimp, fish, and or plants. I know not all sealers and glue are safe.
Well not that I know of. But I was fairly careful at the time not to let any of the super nasty stuff fall into the water itself. I have mine a bit uncontrolled. There are a few goldfish and several species of local frogs and toads that serenade me at night. The urea stuff is supposed to be less toxic which is why it is now used in insulation indoors in houses.
@@unclebuddoingstuff Thank you for getting back to me. That is great news. Thank you.
The thing that bothers me about these is that it should be incredibly simple to replace the led strips in them, but when they go out, you have to replace the entire puck.
Yes I am a little worried about that. There are multiple of these little LED-s and I believe they are in series so that if one of the little elements dies the whole thing will go off. Part of me wanted to order an extra box and , so that one of these decades if one goes out I will be able to get matching. the consolation is that if I do decide to swap them out the wiring is readily accessible as long as I get a light the same size I am good.
The cost to rent or but a drywall lift is less than you copay for the Dr., meds and pt. So much easier especially if you are working alone.
I thought about that. But to get it down the hill into my basement would have been a bit of an effort.
