While I watched to see her reaction when she heard the noises, I was equally impressed by her advanced fine motor skills for how old she was when this was filmed.

I am curious as to why she reacts to the bear making noise but not to the voices of her parents or the therapist. Any explanation?

I am so happy that she got help with her hearing problems I was held back in first grade ! My school years was hell in 3 grade I received a hearing test and was told when I heard beep to push a button. W am waiting for the sound and woman giving me a test started yelling at me to pay attention so I pushed button every time a light come on on machine. I passed test 10 years later I was drafted to go to Vietnam giving hearing test and found out I have no high Frequency at all in low Frequency I hear 1 of 4 and that’s 1/5 of that one I am so happy for her ! ( I catch hell for my spelling please excuse me ,

Sorry, you didn't get the best treatment. I'm happy for all those helped by cochlear implants. Modern science is amazing.

This just showed up in my suggested videos tonight - I have no idea why, but it was interesting. How is she doing today? Very cute little girl; glad to see she was able to get a cochlear implant. My brother is trying to get one, but I don't think he's going to be able to, and at his age I don't really think it's going to help.

Hello. I'm from Japan. My eldest daughter has the same disorder, I guess (recently she underwent the ABR test and noticed she has ANSD. We are waiting for the meeting with a specialist who can get firm diagnosis.) My daughter is already 10 years old and she is in an elementary school for special needs children (intellectual disorder). If, if when I took her to a doctor to ask the reason she didn't speak, if her doctor checked her hearing level with ABR, perhaps this disorder was noticed. She underwent the test for intellectual disorder and the examiner said she might had it. When I watched this video, I cried coz my daughter also couldn't hear my "I love you.". In Japan, ANSD is not famous. I'm not sure she didn't have intellectual disorder at all, but I'm thinking the diagnosis was just wrong and she has only ANSD, because her other skills except language are similar as regular children... This is the circumstance in Japan. I hope your daughter and son are fine. Also I'm sorry for my long message.
