Mammoth rocks
I accidentally took the wrong lift for my ability and ended up here on this slope in the 70's. I had to traverse on the bowl till I could ski the rest of the way. After learning how to ski on the icy slopes of icy Bear Mountain I was able to ski safely home. I love skiing

I have never skied on loose powder like that, on any California slope. Where's the famous Sierra Cement?
Mammoth is a lot higher elevation than Tahoe, it gets snow like that often, even Tahoe can depending on the mountain and recent storms
