Elvis is a proud gay man living in the Gorom refugee camp in South Sudan. A native Ugandan, Elvis was forced to flee for his life when his friends and family discovered his sexual identity. We have been supporting Elvis and other queer and transgender refugees in Africa since 2020 and we remain hopeful that they will soon be resettled in a county where they can be free.
