30C class, Prophetstown, IL put on by IERA and MXC Racing. Ended up 2nd in 30C, and 15th Overall C, a new personal best finish. The first Lap was a lot of follow the leader, but I was able to get around some people and pick up the pace the rest of the race. Wish the camera lasted longer, had some good back and forth passing with 1st place and he ended up pulling away after I bent my shift lever...

Back at it in Brooks, IA for the next IERA Hare Scramble. GoPro catches a twig around the 35:00 mark and got tweaked so might be hard to watch from there. I got a terrible jump off the line after my bike not wanting to start, so started the race dead last but ended up 6th of 18 in 4 stroke C. I felt much more comfortable this race and rode pretty smooth other than that hectic start.
Lake Rathbun OHV Trails

This was my first trip to the Lake Rathbun OHV Park, spent some time figuring out the lay of the land and what all it had to offer. You can do the outer loop pretty quick but but there's tons of trails throughout that I never made it to. Ducati 1199 Panigale S that is still in it's break in period lowsides due to cold/new tires. What series is this in? do they have beginner class?
This is the IERA Hare Scramble series in Iowa - and yes they do have a beginner class, C classes are meant for beginner riders/racers and they also offer a Trail Rider class that allows you to ride the track at your own pace and not really worry about timing.
She was a bit dusty out there, thanks for the video, I really enjoyed the course, but some of the sections were tight and really highlighted my total lack of clutch control😂.
I agree, was definitely a bit tighter than I was expecting! Starting to get tired of lugging the 500 through the trees 😅

Heck of a job running that 500 through the woods man! I imagine its a tough job. Ive been on the fence to buy one but living in VA doesnt exactly have open flowy trails.
I appreciate it! Definitely not the best bike for the woods but i still love the 500 and the crazy low end power. It's definitely helped me on some of the sketchier hill climbs I did this season too.

Never been to this park. Is it worth going to?
This is actually the first I’ve been to, it’s one of the closest ones to me so I’ll be going back. Its about 120 acres and I was surprised how quickly I got around it, but there’s lots of trails in the middle and the Motocross track if you’re into that, as well as a kids track by the parking lot.

Not just a crash!!!! Only slide down... i've had 5 real crashes and bikes been destroyed and me to hospital... this is a crash!! ...No blood, no broken bones, no bike into pieces, no cars implicated... lucky you 😅😅

Nice to know that there was little damage. To me it looks like loose gravel had something to do with it. His speed was not excessive but he took the corner early, and so would have crossed that patch in the middle of a side-road junction where gravel collects. There is a lot of gravel on each side of the road and that can easily work its way into that area. Still, if he says it was cold tyres I suppose we should take his word for it.

Did the rear tire slide out? Didn't look like he did anything wrong.
He's blaming it on 'cold' tires and speed, but that didn't look to be the case. Out in the country like that, there was probably a light coating of sand or pebbles in the intersection, and he slid out on that.
