The dual feed system sews the top and bottom layers of fabric simultaneously. The machine will now glide over those thick seams without struggling. Tip: Remember to change the needle - We used a Jeans 100/16 needle.

Can you tell me if the new upgrade allows you to color sort, not shuffle, like the luminaire does?? Thanks sew much
Hi, both Stellaire machines (XE1/XE2) have colour sorting on the final layout page. The upgrade kit doesn't add any more colour sorting.
Do you have any suggestions on how to adjust the bobbin thread tension on this machine? I have to have my regular thread tension up to 8 or 9 to make my stitches work on a flat stitch.
The tensions are set for a standard 50 thickness thread. If you are using a thicker thread you may have to turn up your tension. If you want to adjust your bobbin case tension its the tiny silver screw on the bobbin case itself. Ordinarily your top thread tension would be on 4.
