How a "Failed" Boxer Created UFC World Champions
Trevor Wittman: Architect of MMA Greatness
Behind every great fighter stands a mastermind, and for Justin Gaethje, Rose Namajunas, and Kamaru Usman, that mastermind is Trevor Wittman. From transforming raw talent into championship glory to revolutionizing fight gear, Wittman’s journey is one of resilience, reinvention, and innovation.
Starting as a promising boxer, Wittman’s career was abruptly halted by injuries. Refusing to step away from combat sports, he transitioned into coaching, applying his sharp eye for strategy and detail to the world of MMA. He proved skeptics wrong, developing champions who have delivered iconic performances.

I'd complain about AI, but probably every response (since it's to every comment) is from an AI, too.
Worst pronunciation of every single fighter’s name lol super cringe
Chur You da man e hooa Mean Māori mean as 🤙🏽
Thanks
Lol Eugene “if he loses, I’ll throw him under the bus” Bareman
Not funny
@ The truth isn’t usually funny
Andy was not a failure. There are boat loads of players and coaches who didn't make playoffs, won super bowls etc. That doesn't make them failures.
He definitely wasn’t
Okay 😮
Fascinating, isn’t it?
CKB/Bareman approach is only have plan A once plan A fail they dont have a plan B LMAO
And yet resulting in the dominance. Guess who the jokes on.
Just curious is this made by AI? And I don’t mean the voiceover. I mean is the entire video made by ai?
Hello, no the video is not made by ai.
@@CoachingChroniclesCo thanks for responding
some of the stories with this guy is out the gate. my mum used to train there like 17 years ago and he be teaching little me
Wow
Great channel.
Thanks :)
CKB fighters are like 3-11 this year you are late to the party
Not late, rather early. They’ll make a comeback.
@ With who outside of Kai? maybe Ulberg? they dont rlly have anyone with momentum like they did 2 years ago & idk if they get it back. for sure not to that level. Volk (whose barely at CKB) & Izzy were great but most their guys have been fraud checked or at least showing average performances
This guy narrators full of shit. Eugene didn’t like or want Israel at the start. He recommended other gyms instead. This narrator is absolutely bullshit
They capitalized on calf kicks when it was a new thing too. Goated camp and goated trainer
100
I still dont get why they didnt give Volk the 1st fight, man.
Agreed
how do videos like this not get 1 million views, the quality is crazy
Thanks :)
Da fuck are you taking away from Volks actual gym in Australia for. He trains sometimes with izzy lmao L video.
Appreciate the feedback. Never took anything away from any of his coaches. Respect each and every one of them as well as each individual in mma equally.
this is kinda the dead internet theory with your bad ai reader and botted comments. good script doe
Would love to hear more detailed feedback. But fyi, none of the commenters are bots.
@@CoachingChroniclesCo yea its also very possible that they have the numbers at the end of their names because of other reasons i overlooked that. I think if you are not ashamed of your voice you should voiceover these episodes yourself so its more personal than the ai making mistakes in toning just my opinion.
@@CoachingChroniclesCo also these videos feel a bit soul less because they are
That’s appreciate the constructive criticism.
Soulful video, is a challenge that every creator faces and I’m no different. But one thing I make sure of my next video is better than my last. So hoping to nail it I my future videos.
shout out to other fighters like tyson pedro and blood diamond for putting it on for KCB in victory and defeat
True
CKB
Eugene isn't Volk's head coach nor full time coach. Volk just goes to CKB to train during camps because they have top fighters there to train with. Volk has his own coach and gym that brought him through to the top. Eugene only came into the picture once Volk was 2-3 fights into the UFC
Fair
@@CoachingChroniclesCo No it isn't fair. You've disregarded Volk's actual main coach and given credit to someone else who isn't fully responsible for Volk's rise. Joe Lopez is the guy behind the scenes that's been there for Volk since day 1.
Facts
If his own coach and gym was all he needed, he wouldnt need to go to Eugenes gym
@@frenic906 Volk didn't go looking for them. Eugene was the one that approached Volk to collaborate. It was after Volk beat Shane Young, one of Eugene's fighters in Volk's 3rd UFC fight that Eugene approached Volk's team to collaborate and help Volk get the title.
For Father ☝️☝️
❤️❤️
No offense, I think Eugene is a good MMA striking coach but, hes not gonna have many more champs if he doesn't implement more grappling. His gym will be the next Blackzillians with extraordinary fighters that'd do great under any system like Izzy or Alexander and streaky guys like Dan Hooker and Brad Riddell. The problem won't be that they're streaky fighters but the fact that cant adapt or do anything but strike
You have the right to your opinion.
you do realise Eugene Bareman has a black belt in Jiujitsu + runs a roster of world class grappling/wrestling coaches? MMA these days is essentially just mostly striking these days anyway
AI generated ahh video 😭🙏
Such a stupid comment
One of the key reasons he has such a conservative approach is due to one of his fighters literally dying in his arms in the ring back in 2012. It almost made him quit and we wouldn't have seen CKB rise to where it has. RIP Willman Rodriguez Gomez
Such a touching story, more power to them!
i never knew that my opinion on him just changed this second.
Facts
Man, I can tell you care and I want to like this video but I dislike seeing your speech not matching the footage, he didn’t deliver a perfect knee and stop Gamrot. I assume you’re talking about Gilbert Burns so if you are show that footage. Whether intentional or not it’s deceiving and to someone who doesn’t actually know his past fights
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Actually we also have to be mindful of copyright issues, but we’ll improve on our future videos. Thanks for leaving the constructive feedback :) Would love to have you a part of our community.
Eugene was the best thing to happen to volk. took him from rugby league and turn him in to a world mma champion
He truly gave us not one but many superstars.
volk has an entire camp and head coach in Australia that have a lot more to due with his success than Eugene, he barely trains at CKB
Eugene isn't Volk's head coach nor full time coach. Volk just goes to CKB to train during camps because they have top fighters there to train with. Volk has his own coach and gym that brought him through to the top. Eugene only came into the picture once Volk was 2-3 fights into the UFC
Eugene isn't his Head coach. That's Joe Lopez.
Afaik Eugene was never the main coach of Alex tho
He actually did for a bit.
Eugene was the mastermind behind the max halloway wins
Fun fact, Eugene is still a part time fighter himself. He still wants to fight one more time so that he can make it to 50 fights.
0:20 uhm yeah no buddy.. Thx for showing with your first sentence what a clueless casual you are
Wot
"a good defense is the best defense" lol
Haha
Andy Reid was a terrific coach with the Eagles. There was a Dallas team that was just a bit better.
That’s true!
Modern Mr. Miyagi. CKB 09 represent!!
Represent!
Kai Kara France
Hahaha
amazing video, your gonna be big soon
Thanks bro! Appreciate it :)
Such a great video. I hope big things come your way
Thank you my man, appreciate it :)
Very captivating story telling. Can’t wait til you post a boxing video. Looking forward to it 🙏
Thanks mate :)
Great technical Dutch Kickboxing style. Unfortunately its weakness are good technically sound boxers with heavy hands.
lmao, It’s constant pressure and volume. What you said could be a weaknesses for anybody.
Eugene Bareman was trained by Lolo Heimuli (main coach) along with 80's Muay Thai legends Kiosot (Thailand champion), Samingnoom (Olympic boxer & Rajadamnern stadium champion) and Fanta Attapong (Rajadamnern stadium champion) in City Lee Gar gym, New Zealand's first Muay Thai gym. Samingnoom was Muay Femur (evasive well rounded style) and Fanta was Muay Tae (heavy kicker), don't know about the rest. Lolo Heimuli himself was trained by Kiosot. Kiosot & Lolo also trained Ray Sefo and his brother Rony Sefo. You can look it up, these names are mentioned in Lolo Heimuli's interviews and social media posts of Adesanya's coaches.
Classic Dutch style is completely different, it is about constant pressure with low kicks and heavy boxing while keeping a Dutch guard. If you want a proper example of Classic Dutch style, watch Marat Grigorian (former Glory kickboxing champion). Adesanya's style is similar to Muay Femur style of the 80s (which btw is completely different from current Muay Femur style) kind of like Somrak or Samart.
Fascinating insight!
Interesting
unique video niche. def on your way up keep up the good work
Thank you :) Would be glad to have you subscribed to our journey!
@CoachingChroniclesCo no prob 🤝
Volkanovski is underated, he was p4p king. He almost beat islam makachev. One division above and one of the most dominant champion. Sometime i refer volkanovski training style. You want cardio and volume, volkanovski is the man...
I hope he is still able to get back on top, but at his age seems a bit difficult
Agreed
@@Hewrin88 yes... Thats why stipe and mike Tyson fight is kinda a nobrainer. We knew whod win
@@Hewrin88 when reigning lightweights, feather weight, middleweight wither in their 30s. What makes em think stipe in his 40 any good. If its GSP, or mighty in their 40 a bit make sense even though kinda pushed
@@brahamwijaya1039With heavyweights it is not as age demanding because power is one of the most important things. Stipe might not be as sharp as he was years ago but he’s still got power. So he at least could finish Jones if he finds a chance. 145ers like Volk’s power would drop a lot with age. Naturally making them less competitive.
Under rated channel. I can't believe you only have three hundred subscribers. And now I am one of them. 👍
Thanks for subbing
because AI
Amazing video. Very unique and creative. Keep it up!
Thank you :) Would be glad to have you subscribed to our journey!
LMAO he is definitely one the most overated coaches in the history if not the most. he is very bad coach he is famous because of Adesanya, he didn't teach him nothing, he basically tried to reject adesanya encouraging him to find another gym, what he does when izzy is being f*(***d up? That's right nothing, no good advice, just the typical "breath" 😂 thats how strikland embarrassed adesanya, how he lost twice to islam, kai kara france beaten by moreno twice in embarrassing way and the list goes on and on and on, but to be fair he doesn't train Alex volkanowski he trains since the begineer with his coach Joe or something like that he is better than the ponytail groomer
So you wont even believe Izzy when he says he is what he is because of this man?
Dumbest take I’ve read on RUclips all week.
LMAO. Of course, you went to City Kickboxing to confirm the coaching and training sucks right? Similarly, are Greg Jackson, Firas Zahabi, and John Kavanagh also over rated and exposed because they no longer have superstars on their rosters? (Jon Jones is the only exception because Connor is never coming back) Just like Eugene Bareman they all started from scratch in the backwaters of the MMA world and produced champions. But thanks for the emo take. 👍
The yap is real
Bro he has the only gym in the whole country to have over 10 ufc fighters come out of it ya dreamer ...does it make u feel better about yourself putting other people down, maybe thats why your on here attacking him and no1 knows you..get a life
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it, a subscribe to the channel will be much appreciated :)
love this
Glad you enjoyed it, a subscribe to the channel will be much appreciated :)
good one
Thank you! Cheers!
good video man
Glad you enjoyed
Maybe try showing more of the fight. Unless this is just AI then don’t care
Thanks for the suggestions
Do you know it would be awesome if you actually commentated on the video instead of letting an AI do the “hard work.” It’s so uncreative, recycled bs… it’s just annoying 👎🏼
What are you trying to say?
@ to put it bluntly and for someone who can’t understand a simple statement… you are lazy. Make your own content. You just plug it into an AI bot and it makes it for you 😭
Wtf
🙈
Nope
🙈
Nah
