Thanks for checking out MACK Landscaping & Lawn Care on RUclips.
I started my lawn care business 7 years ago. I like to keep things simple so we mainly focus on lawn maintenance but we also do small landscaping jobs and snow removal.
My mission is to help inspire and motivate people who are new in business or thinking about starting a new business. Through the years I’ve had many ups and downs. I’m no expert but I do believe sharing those experiences, and what I’ve learned so far is the best way I can help people. So, please use what you think will help you and leave the rest. How I Handle Unexpected Challenges my Lawn Care Business
This was the video that motivated me to start lawn care. I was on the fence about it. But I’m glad I took your advice. I now have 80 customers
Keith is a legend
Hey Mack just found this video. You seem like a great dude.
Thank you buddy, I appreciate the kind words 💯🫡
Your videos keep me motivated during these long mowing weeks 🎉
💪🏽I’m happy you enjoy the videos my friend 💯🫡
Add to happy everyday that I start Landscaping business
That's right, my weather congra. Tulate, don't hate make that money.I'm glad for all the landscapers new comers. And old comers keep crushing it
Hey mack i do it the same way. Save time .map landscaping
$9,000 for one mower is wild. That's quite a few jobs to pay for it.
Jobber vs Yardbook hmmmm
Great videos, always learning from you. Old bommer cutting grass north of yens in Hermitage, Pa.😊
Great video Mack. You are learning that you don't need to haul around everything at once. Only take what you need for the day. This has saved us alot over the years and has cut cost. It is wild how you learn these small things over time. Great Job keep grinding and see you on the next video.
Has a exmark sticker
Yep I seen that too. I don’t know why they would keep that on there🤷🏽♂️
Do you bid on jobs ? Or you go by word of mouth ? And what platform do you market your lawnscape business?
Yes, I bid jobs when they come in through my website & I also have a lot of customers through word of mouth…I only use google and the logos on my trailer
When I was racing motocross we had a powered vent on the rear and a front manual vent. It was amazing but it was on a 24ft trailer. I'm still debating on getting an enclosed for my lawn care. My 12ft open is okay but I need trailer brakes at least. Also barely can fit my mowers in my shed
Storage was the original reason for me getting my enclosed trailer in 2020. My garage was overflowing with equipment so I got an enclosed 1st and then eventually moved to a storage unit and then into the Compound
@@mack_landscaping412only worry I have is visibility backing and it may not fit under my carport lol
@@Norcent00 backup cameras on amazon and a measuring tape will solve those worries 😂😂😂 you got this
@@mack_landscaping412 I hope financing comes through. Enclosed is way more than the open lol
Same here 🌧 all week
👍🏽
I am 15, and I've run my own landscaping business for 2 years now going on 3, and finally transitioned into an Exmark Radius S series with a 52 in. deck. What chute block would you recommend for that mower??
That’s dope buddy, keep killin it 🔥💪🏽🫡 …They’re all pretty good so I can’t really recommend 1 over another for a mower I’ve never ran but I’ll tell you what I’m using on my mowers.. I run Grandstands and I’ve been using the Flex Chute but do some more research and see what people who have your mower think and then make your decision. I hope that helps my friend 🫡
@@mack_landscaping412 thanks!! I really appreciate it!
I have open trailer
💪🏽🔥🫡
Cool idea for tire
Thanks🫡
That trailer about what I’m looking for
🫡
We had similar issues with our handheld equipment in our enclosed trailer setup. We switched over to ethanol free, canned gas and haven’t had a problem since. Not to mention zero shop bills for fuel related issues. Been using this current setup for 2 years and still no issues. Mowing about 25-30 accounts per day.
Maybe I’ll try that when I do start to use my enclosed trailer again…Thanks for the tip 💯🫡
What brand two cycle equipment are you using that vapor locks? I've run an enclosed trailer for years, including in Tampa Florida for numerous years. I never had an issue with vapor lock running muruyama, shindawai, and echo. The only people i ran into that had vapor lock issues were running Stihl Nice new trailer
I use ECHO for all my small engine equipment. It hasn’t been an issue since the switch to the open trailer tho
@@mack_landscaping412 that's crazy. I have a ten year old echo backpack blower that starts on the second pull every time that sits in my trailer year round. I think the problem is the type of side vents your trailer has. They're inefficient. I'm glad you're liking the new set up
@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement That could be the case…it’s not a top of the line enclosed trailer so there’s probably a lot other things I could do to add better ventilation…There’s no issues now with the open setup
Hey, that’s great that a smaller rig is working for you, I run a pretty small rig, I use a 6 by 12 trailer which is big enough for my Stander and Grandstand. But I run a Chevy 1500 and it doesn’t seem to quite have enough power, I don’t know if it is the engine or the 4 speed transmission or what. Maybe it’s just old because it has 350k miles, and it gets like 10 miles per gallon, but it works. Anyway I enjoyed the video.
As long as it runs thats all that matters💯 350k miles 💪🏽🫡
Currently stealing ideas for my new utility trailer. Love that floor texture.
💪🏽🫡
The heat and smell trapped inside an enclosed trailer never sounds fun. Couldn’t do an enclosed in tx.
Sounds like your in a state that loves paperwork time to get out to another state that you can get a vehicle in less then a hour
Naw I love my city and my state we ain’t goin no where 😂😂😂 but the paperwork could definitely be less 💯
@@mack_landscaping412 well you say your not going anywhere but when your tax rates are just as much as earnings maybe you change your mind I'm originally from NY state n got tired of giving half my money to the state and busting my ass but now only pay a federal taxes n nothing like NY rates the state I'm in no state taxes
@@jaymeyers950 New York is another world bro …I dunno how anyone survives there💯 If i was there I’d be gone too …cost of living is to high is astronomical…here in PA life is great man …no reason to leave and my prices are top of market in my area so if taxes go crazy I’ll adjust my prices to accommodate that 💯
When I store my equipment in an enclosed trailer, I loosing the gas cap some. Even gas cans do this. Also I have two vents in mine as well. If you don't let them vent sooner or later the fuel lines could become damaged or internal parts to the carb will become damaged.
Thanks for the tips homie 💯🫡
100% half ton trucks are best for weekly lawn mowing, best fuel economy and strong enough to handle a few mowers , you will not go back to dump truck
The dump truck served it’s purpose but definitely not going back to it for daily mowing 🙅🏽♂️
Hey man let me know when you go to equip expo and let me know when you get a chance can you do a video on the new echo pb 9050 backpack blower that is coming out during the fall of this year
I didn’t know they were releasing a new blower
Loving the new set up

Watching brians lawn maintains sure trak is the best
It’s a great trailer brand and I’m super happy with it💯🫡
I'm from belle vernon pa
Nice …I drive through BV weekly 💯
This is my main setup without tje racks. I have a 8 by 16 trailer because in my area requires clipping picked up. So by tje end of day i might have 3-4 huge bags of grass. I use one rider and a toro 30 inch. I like the paint and i think ill do that. Boy those hitch locks are expensive. I have a diffetent one but i do like those. Any discounts on those mac?
I still gotta finish installing the rest of the rack but they really save time and hassle 💯 …They’re expensive but you only gotta buy it once and then you got it for life …I have 1 on each trailer now…I do not have a any discount codes yet but if/when I do I’ll put them on my linktree on Instagram 💯
We use Toro and Echo equipment. And it performs very well for us. Looks like you have a solid game plan. Keep it simple but effective. Sometimes we all have to do more with less. I like the open air trailers. They work best for us. We are mainly on rural roads and in small towns.
Less has definitely been more for me and Captain Jack this season 💯
Ram 💪 we also got 2
🔥💪🏽🫡
Let the truck run all day???? That was his advice rather than swap out the starter, or check connections? 🥴 My 14 Ram needs a new engine, and I miss her 🙄🤯 Congrats on the new rig. Nice paint job. Interesting you went with a half ton; she pulls well? Yes, running a pickup rig is so much better than a dumptruck setup 😂 Just keep it all locked up, and tarped up if it rains or if you leave it outside.
He suggested getting the starter looked at and other things too…He only suggested leaving it running while we worked so we didn’t lose the day …he was trying to help but I’m happy it happened when it did cuz I found the perfect truck 💯
@@mack_landscaping412 I hear you, brother. At least he was there to help you get her going again. Always a Blessing to have people in a time of need.
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power no doubt homie because I could’ve been just stuck there all day 😂😂😂
Damn near the same setups bro! I need a few equipment defender racks still. Much respect Mack ✊🏾
💪🏽🫡
Simplicity 🔑 … so what are you doing with the debris now? I remember on a podcast with Keith you mentioned that you would mow, edge & blow as well as trim trees/hedges as needed as part of your service. I’m hopefully staring soon and debating whether to go enclosed or utility. Theft & rain is a HUGE issue in south Florida.
Once spring cleanups are done, It’s just a matter of touching up things so there’s no debris really during the mowing route we just mulch up the clippings …branches or anything like that if there’s no tree-line ill just throw it the truck bed
@@mack_landscaping412 appreciate the reply man, congrats on the new set up 🤙
@@jaygonzz_ No doubt homie…Thanks 🫡
Can we get a setup picture on instagram
I’ll see what I can do 💯🫡
I feel like enclosed is a lot better could added blower fan , also praise to your wife too bro definitely a queen
I have both and I have a solar powered exhaust fan I mentioned that in the video…there’s pros and cons to both but less is more for me right now and the utility has been a great change for me 💯 Thanks for the comment buddy 💯🫡
@@mack_landscaping412 true I agree with you

Hi Mack I just have one question do you ever think to hire more people for your company?
I appreciate the content.
I appreciate you my friend…Thanks for stopping by to show some love💯🫡
We do about 15 jobs a week with a BR 80, 21 inch mower and a weed Wacker. We get it done. Thinking about marketing to gain my cash flow. Easy business to start.
Dope 🫡 Get after it 💪🏽
Hi, wanting to startup lawn buisiness hire someone. Any tips tho at finding a trustworthy smart worker? Think it would be tough these days. I guess have gd insurance and all their info.
Well I have 1 guy who works with me and he’s been my friend for over 15 years and I have my son …I’d start with friends/family but you can also run Linkedin or Indeed employment ads …hope that helps 🫡
Not sure if it would be the same where you live, but I can say with Indeed where I live in the last year I've used them has brought tons of applications but a lot of the guys have no call no showed and flat out just not check out. You have to pay for the applications too, fyi. Last month, we went through 260 applications, 18 qualified in paper. Two no showed the following Monday, and another two just quit because of the heat and finding it too difficult to handle. These are my most recent experiences. I'm not saying that it will be the same for you, I'm just sharing my experience.
Yessir. Had to postpone some mows and have to cut at 3” N.E PA
We need some 🌧️
My plan for winter is going to be the templates! Especially as i get more full and turn down more work
That’s a good idea 💯🫡
