8th Gen si front spindles TSX Calipers, Rotors and Pads I did swap my S.S r18 brake lines to TSX Calipers they do fit and highly recommend as they are 4inches longer.
So you want to K Swap your R18!!

When you swap your r18 with a K24a /k24 will it still be automatic?

Can someone tell me where to get a turbo for this. I saw them on eBay but idk if I should trust it. I’m not talking bad about the eBay turbos. I just really have no idea on a good turbo kit to get. I have a 2011 civic ex coupe 1.8L. Thank yall.
Get a good Turbo manifold, i had a cheap ebay manifold and the threads were awful stripped and turbo almost fell out of the car. I had to basically weld the holes shut and rethread them

Could you please go more in depth on how you got the mount to work on oil pan
I used a R18 hasport mount (had it when i was turbo R18) and machined a new insert that fits the Si bracket on Oil pan so that I could keep the R18 subframe

9psi ain't nothing for it, it can handle 25psi max and for daily 12-18 psi is 100% safe
But I hear the r series is weak to boost from mechanics I work with
@@aeroboozt9455 you'll blow the transmission and the bottom end if you go over 300hp/300tq without sleeving the connecting rods werent built to surpass that but you can run like 14lb and be alright

i was wondering if you could tell me if your honda civic is a lx model, i have an 08 lx model with the r18 inside and i am intersted in modding it myself, could it go the distance?
this is a LX model. Just have to be willing to spend some money and put in the hours
I though the brake mounts for the spindles are the same from si and base

so you can use the r18 sub frame instead of going for an si subframe ? also as far as the oil pan , i was wondering if i put a k20 in would i need to modify the oil pan or is that just with the k24? almost got all my info together just gotta decide which engine is gonna give me less hassle to build on

Ya it didn’t have good ground and not enough cranking fuel both issues sorted out. Starts right up now

Wire also broke off of the #4 IGN coil pack. But found it and fixed
Bro how well does the r18 handle power I only need around 200bhp will be enough it’s the clutch that I’m worried about anyway to upgrade it
I had an exedy stage 1 or 2 clutch kit can’t remember
It’ll handle that easy, ppl here in the states have pushed just over 300whp out of a stock R18 (with a GT30-35 style turbo)
I’m planning on doing the same thing but how much more do you have to change as in ecu or harness ?
gonna need a new ecu with k20/24 swap as far as harness you could use an si’s harness , there is 1 thing electronically you might have to either make or order if their making them yet but i forgot exactly what it was
also r18 axles work in the k24 with the si’s seals if you wanna stay on a budget but if you want a complete solid build for longer than a few weeks i’d look into getting new axles for the swap but if you google “r18 to k swap total cost “ there’s a guy that runs a youtube’s channel specializing in swapping every honda possible , he posted a whole parts list with cost and even budget options for some things to save you some money that’s how i learned about the r18 axles working with the si’s seals in a k but of the axles will be damn near short if i’m not mistaken but it’ll still work

@@LALOTEH bro same. But my bmw was a single turbo. Shit happens and you end up where you end up. I’ve learned to love this little manual coupe. It’s the first manual I’ve owned and learned on. I wanna put some bronze ESR SR11 18s on it, lower it & camber the wheels a bit. It’s gonna look so hard. I wanted to do a turbo build but if I go that way I might as well slap a k20 in it right… Speaking of turbos, is there one that won’t blow the r18? If there’s one that won’t damage then I guess we can do that. My dream is to have a k20 on it and bang the rev limiter hearing those pops lmao. I fucking love Hondas now. I love how my car doesn’t wine for shit. I love how it’s pretty much indestructible
2012+ r18 yes. 06+ no. They crack stock almost always.
@@MrEntTv2009+ is when they fixed the cracking issue, not 2012+. They did a recall so if your block cracked and your car was pre 2009, Honda would fit a new block for you.
Thankful I've got a 2010 civic and I haven't had this issue yet. It's on 120k+ miles @@blackmanzproductionz
