Slipforming of Preheater for Airvault Cement Plant
Our heavy duty slipform in top position, 97.7 meters above the ground. The construction is part of the CO2-reducing upgrade for Ciments Calcias (Heidelberg Materials) Airvault cement plant, France.
The building has a challenging geometry supported by four corner columns, with reducing thickness - connected by concrete beams in 7 levels. The span of the beams is between 14 and 19 metres. The entire geometry has been cast using our heavy duty slipform system in a continuous process, interrupted for short periods during the installation of supports for the casting of the beams.

On August 26, 2016 the third bridge over the Bosphorus (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge) was opened. During our projects for advanced caisson production we use our skidding system for moving the caisson between three construction stations. Step 1. Transfer the prefabricated caisson slabs safely from slab station into slipform gantry with high accuracy into position for docking with slipform shutter. Step 2. Very very good and efficient country! I am ardently following all of the projects and progress of Singapore. It is a pleasure watching them. - I am a big fan of Singapore from the Philippines.
What an awesome and challenging undertaking. Control of the slope and taper must require corrections at each lift. It appears that the concrete is all pumped up into place. Very well done!
