What i find simply incredible about the wii u/3ds era is the fact that nintendo put so much personality into their consoles. The Wii U has at least every system app, one for tv and one for the gamepad, that are very cleverly composed. Even the download management theme goes hard! I wish nintendo put more personality into their consoles and made them more welcoming. The switch's menu feels like a lifeless husk. I don't think there is a single track made for the switches system what so ever, and that just hurts.

Who's here after Wii U and 3DS services shut down? 😢

It felt like it was just yesterday I unwrapped my Wii U on Christmas Day while in the 5th grade. I remember running to the TV to set it up while at my aunts, hearing the set up music excited to play some Splatoon after setting up my user and mii. Today, it hurts my heart anticipating seeing the Wii U and 3DS servers go away forever. One day I was 11 in 5th grade, playing tons of Splatoon and Tomodachi Life, to in a blink of an eye where I am now, almost going to be 20 and going to college soon. As underrated as the Wii U was, and as hard as it was to connect on my 3DS to servers, they will forever have a place in my heart. Thank you for all the memories Wii U and 3DS❤

The online services for the Wii U and 3DS will both shut down for good in a few days. I will always treasure those beautiful memories I have of my time with these systems. These consoles, filled with so much life and personality, and home to so many great games. I hope that the Switch 2 can continue to faithfully carry on the legacy of its predecessors. Even though I still have them with me, it won't be the same anymore. Rest in peace. It was a slow death. First, they stopped making them. Then, they stopped making the games for them. After that, the eShop was closed. And now, this. I'm just glad that the Switch turned out great, and Nintendo's still going strong (even though the Switch lacks as much personality). By the way, track 48 is my favourite. It's just so beautiful! I'm sinking my teeth into some Splatoon turf war for the final time to commemorate. Glad to see others are doing the same. Thanks for reading!
