Can't understand this logic so much as have been living in Blackpool for 11 years now continuously and all there really seems to be the odd retail job, hotel work and temp seasonal work and even that is now difficult to get - applied 12 xmas vacancies and not even offer of one interview even with plenty of retail experience and up-to-date references . If your a tradesman or lucky enough to be able to get a job with the council/hospitals or in a bank then your very lucky down here and it's even harder for very young or over 40 and even then it's mostly minimum wage.For people that do work self employed such as prom/pier vendors very little wages and hardly any tourists 8months of the year and it's getting worst. Government needs to invest more but same for all seaside resorts. Do love it here though even though little rough round the edges plenty to see and do but with little work can't do a lot of that ? Ha ! Lol !
