I was at the premiere of this 28th May 1987 at the consecration of Richard Harries as Bishop of Oxford; he was, at the time, Dean of King's College London where I was a student. Every moment of that day was special, but this piece made a a real impression.

My 2nd-favourite choral piece, and wonderfully done!!! (Favourite is the Lamentation of Jeremiah by Bairstow.)
