Looks like phosphorescent gauntlet, a hook, and a spacebar is all you need to beat infernum mode dog. Very viable for normal playthroughs Reason why I hold rippers is to do 2 cycles of the 2nd phase. Otherwise this challenge would've been too easy. Took nearly 200 attempts but I got pretty unlucky with this challenge. Probably the last interesting challenge I have for dog unless something else ...

when i first killed the DoG in infernum i didnt even use an arena. I just abused the true melee hits giving flight time feature to its fullest potential and stayed afloat forever
Fighting a god without moving more than 50 feet in any direction is exactly the kind of thing an anime character would do to assert dominance.
More like 100 feet since a block in terraria is 2 feet each
@Terrandrei If you're starting in the middle of the square, then there are twenty five blocks on each side of you. Fifty feet.

Smaller than this is possible but it gets more rng, specifically for which direction dog does the jumpscare attack and for the fireballs at the end. There needs to be something novel for me to attempt even smaller arena

Unironically practicing fighting him in a small box may actually make the fight easier to an extent. You always have something to grapple to, which lets you dodge his charges reliably. This isnt to undermine your accomplishment here, that was phenomenally done and must have taken an insane amount of practice
