I lovveeeeee white fire. It’s so clean and soft. Think musc therapy or Apollonia. I wear the perfume mist and extait together and get several hours of wear.

You are absolutely not the only Mancera / Montale junkie!! I want them all lol there are some I don’t LOVE but I just about any of them are at least likes and many I couldn’t live without (not happily anyway) lol I am so glad I found this line and everytine I shop for a new bottle by another brand - even when I have a soecific one in mind already (way too often but who’s counting) I end up circling back around to Montale or Mancera instead haha I just feel like they are hard to beat ! i have heard Tesoro D’Oriente has a few (oils , lotions and shower gels) that mimic some Montale scents and layer well - gonna try it

Montale is better

I wear this one as one of my summer incense's... Slightly spicy but cool, incensee and somehow bubbly.. its a winner chicken dinner 😊

A blood hound might pick up coconut in HOLIDAYS, but I sure don't. It's a white flowers bomb that will have you thinking you're in the front pew at a mob funeral. One of a number of blind-buy regrets. Don't EVER blind-buy ANYTHING, based on a reviewer's comments. It's so much easier to just give your money away.

Nothing is cheap is in this fragrance, maybe you lost your olfaction...It's not necessary to be aggressively negative...

Orchid prairie is my favourite of the bunch. Soooo good when applied to skin slightly damp after your shower and wet hair just after washing. It will surprise you if you give it a chance. I like your dry sense of humour BTW!

Hi Polly, love your reviews. As I am new fan to the house of Mancera I need advice. I am looking for earthy-green opening , complemented with spices with a slight touch of smoky/aody vibe and a just a little bit sweetness. I have tried Hindu Kush which I really like , but watched your review about Aoud Violet which grabbed my attention , because it sounds close to what I look for. And the third one which found to be close to this criteria is Fig Extasy. You mentioned that you have read that Wind Wood is close to Aoud Violet. I have tried Wind Wood and it is really woody , in which I am not interested at the moment.

As a guy and I like chocolate greedy. But today I ordered a sample of choco violet as well. Lets see which one i like better. I do like greedy but i wanted a little more dark coco in it.

Polly, I adore Alejandría ii, but I always on the fence of getting a full bottle just because I have Rosendo Mateu 5 and the aura they give it’s quite simmilar. On the other hand I’m very intrigued by Muse, which I had never tried. Now that you are comparing both, you definitely find more unique, interesting and sexy Alexandria, don’t you?

I like your take on this fragrance. I have this one also, and it took me awhile to obtain it. I wasn't gonna pay retail price ($180) for it, and I finally got it from Jomashop for around $65. Despite the rather feminine packaging and bottle, I find it to be a very heavily masculine fragrance - which is an odd thing with it having a cherry note. But, as you mentioned, it is a fairly linear scent profile and is barely sweet at all. It reminds me of cherry pipe tobacco with some woody and earthy notes (from the cedar and patchouli). It's sort of a dusty/powdery fragrance, but not in a baby powder way, just dry instead of sweet and syrupy. I do love have the vaguely cherry note stays cherry instead of fading into an almond scent. Most cherry scents are accords made from almond bases, but this stays smelly like cherry pipe tobacco, which I like because it reminds me of my grandfather, but I can easily understand how that kind of scent wouldn't be something most people would want to be wearing, especially since it lasts for HOURS and hours. I almost was gonna give this away until I put on a sweater that I'd worn with this sprayed on it a couple days prior and I was wearing a leather fragrance (Tom Ford Ombre Leather) and the combination worked! So, anyone that has this and is disappointed in it, I'd suggest combining something that compliments it to give it whatever you feel is missing, because it is actually a nice, artistic fragrance.
