Where can you buy this in Ontario Canada?
Need new hifax after that run
Crazy just got a orange one 2014 xf
Lucky me I live up here :-)
I think thats the shack i need to find Thanks
And the breather vents are just the rear diff the front diff the gas tank and carb is that’s it right if theirs more could you let me knoe
I have a Arctic cat 400 with 27s mud lites and a clutch kit big gun muffler and jet kit mines a beast I just need to make snorkels but the damn belt intake is in the back rack not like the other tube for the belt comes in front rack
How heavy to pull this ? Is it very difficult to pull in the deep snow?
Jim J it’s pretty light. Pulling in deep snow kinda sucks no matter what, but this one isn’t bad.
10w40...?
I suggest watching "Eskimo EVO 2 upgrades" by PA Outdoors-man.
I have this unit. Best thing since sliced bread. I modified the table from fixed to a slide out (video on youtube) Works great. I have the buddy heater and a propane lantern. The lantern can keep the interior quite comfortable. I put paperclip rod holders on the ends of the slide out table. I put the buddy up front in the center, sounder next to it and holes close to the corners. Plenty of room and no disturbance of gear on entrance or egress. I also have 1.5 x 2 food carpet pads for one's feet. Set up takes about 45 seconds (once you learn the sequence)
Damn, hold the camera steady.
Mike Jensen come hold it steady for me Mr. Surgeon.
wow you guys are not afraid to push without snorkels !? ;- ()
Izom I modified the intake so it’s up several more inches. But yes.
I got 700 TBX I love it snow plows and haul sandbags good video
How well does this work in the wind? I have the traditional just pop out shanty and is terrible to set up in any wind really. Guessing the back frame part would go toward the direction of the wind
Josh: I park my truck as a wind break. I have never had to use anchors.
Great video I love your sled
Great review..Hooked me..you should be getting commission!
Dave Wagner Thanks! Yeah I wish!
Question in your opinion could you fit a cot in it or sleep in it somehow I currently have a quick flip 2 and put a cot in there to sleep but I really want a new house
Dominic Dreyling the seats aren’t very easily removable making it a little more difficult to fit a cot. However you could probably fit a cot in the open fishing area. The sled itself is actually quite roomy, so you could potentially make a sleeping area out of it. I’d recommend finding a local dealer that has one set up for you to check out in person.
I very much disagree ... the tub is tiny, hard to pack stuff because the hubs and tent take it all up. Stick to something with a big sled or just a big hub... In my humble unlearned opinion the sled isn't oriented correctly to utilize the space... the sides have two areas that are wasted .. I agree with them on Marine General... They have a web site. . Local!
I did end up buying the evo1 and comfortably slept in it when we got negative temps and a 20 mile per hour wind perfect for what I need
Glad I found this site. Good review guys. I live up in Rapids and I've been eying this house and the Dave Genz Clam at L&M. Think I'm going with this one. It will replace a 12 year old Eskimo that has served me well.
Snorelacks thank you! Good plan. If you want to, go check out and subscribe to Northern Outdoors TV. We have joined with them to become one channel. Same type of content, but better quality!
I was in the exact same boat, looking at a clam. I saw this video, and I think my mind is changed. Thanks, guys!
this is not 'powder.' even for the up. it is heavy snow. LOL
craig nestor it’ll be okay.
Did the montefeltro cycle low brass 1 oz shot shells?
zack fleming yeah it did just fine.
How hard is it to take down and put away.Im really thinking of buying it.Have you had any problems with the hubs or rods.I bought a quick fish 3 hub and the 3rd time i used it a hub broke. Thanks mike
Michael Prevost it is easy to take down and put away. The hub is attached to the sled so you basically pop them in, fold each side down and it’s good to go. As for durability, it has been used only about 10 times. It belongs to a friend of mine. As far as I know it is holding up fine, but don’t quote me on that.
Thanks for getting back to me.I ended up buying a otter lodge.Gander had it on sale for $711 couldnt pass up that buy.30 sq ft of fishable space full thermal too
Mike: My wife can set up and take down our EVO-2iT, pack the pails and almost load the truck. I made ramps and she can slide the sled up the ramps by her self. (we make sure she can load stuff by her self and I can take down and load the sled easily.)
I think it's heavy and pulls hard. I am unsure so far
to ad your video was hard to see, didnt do me much good
How long does it take to set up and take down.I have a quick fish 3i and thinking about this one. Thanks
Michael Prevost I’d say it is generally quicker to set-up/take down than the quick fish. Plus you don’t really need to worry about staking down because of the sled weight in the back.
Thanks for the feedback
@@michaelprevost1229 Mine takes about 1.5 minutes. I pop the top first then pop the two front hubs then enter and set the corners. I made a sliding tray between the seats for mine.
nice crappies, nice video. subbed ya, please sub back, trying to beat the 1000 sub mark, darn new rules
How would a Summit 146" fair in the up never been.
82brummy It would fair excellent. My FreeRide 137”/2.25” does very well; your 146” will make everything easier.
Do you want to go out in 2018 I live by Duluth
you are a idiot
Great video guys thanks have a good night be safe.
Great Video Friend
Do you like this better than the otter?
Is the daisy attached to the wood or do you just use the wood to elevate the front wire so as to not melt the ice near the heater? Thank you Tom
Tom n You are correct. I attached the piece of wood to create a better angle for less ice melt. It works well. Thanks for commenting.
7:06 how did you do that!
Just sent it
Next time you are out in the winter I know som spots around duluth. Fish lake, island, boulder, pike, caribou, and I live a mile from pike and know some good spots.
Бля почему в темноте видео снимал?
How wide is the sled?
Mine fits my F150 super crew 6' box with the 10" auger along side. I get 4 buckets under the seat, three buckets and one sounder. The fabric doesn't frost up either.
Nice, I have the 700 diesel with 72" Cycle Country plow. I already bent the tubes on my plow, but CC warranted it. Get some "Grip Studs " for your tires, at least 25 per tire. Love my cats.
Pretty interested in this house but the only thing turning me off is the none insulated sides. Now that you've used it a couple months, are you still impressed with it's durability in the wind and warmth?
Greg H Yes, I also have an Otter Cabin Pro I and it stays extremely warm with little heat. This Eskimo shelter isn't quite as warm, however the shape doesn't let the wind not penetrate as much. I would go with either house from day to day, it's just a preference on style really. Thanks for commenting.
GH: I have the EVO-1i and the EVO-2i Both have the insulated roof. I've never been cold in either one. I always face the rear toward the wind and I use the truck as an additional wind break. Wife and I will be down to our flannel shirts in ours. Heat rises and doesn't like to travel sideways. Additionally it doesn't rain inside either shelter.
I really liked the video what I'm curious about is how much you can fit in the sled with the house folded down.
Josh: I get 4 5 gallon bucket pails in mine. 1 bucket under each the seat and 1bucket just behind the first ones. The hub bars tuck in between the seats and I gather the fabric toward the center to make room for the 2 second buckets. I have one pail as a tackle box, one for scoops, pop ups and propane bottles, one for the lantern and towels and one space for sounders and or camera. (equal to the space of 1 bucket)
fun to get out on the ice, good video
hey man , just found your channel!!! cool video liked and subbed, hit me back!
Thank you! Will do.
Hey your videos are awesome, I really enjoy them. I live in Ashland Wisconsin which is about a hour and a half away from Duluth. If your interested you should come down and ice fish a private lake with me.
Topwaterpower Hey thanks! And possibly that would work sometime, I've never fished over there. You can follow my Instagram account and dm me there.
That's a good spot
good old grain belt haha
looks great! nice video :)
How did you put your drive up in the video
Keegan Dolby I'm not sure what you mean. I uploaded the clips and edited them in iMovie.
I have a cabin on caribou and really want to try fish lake next weekend. For crappies, what's the ideal depth?
thePuckman4 Depends on where on the lake you go, but somewhere around 20ft.
How is the ice fishing in the channels on the west end of Fish lake?
thePuckman4 can be good. gotta find the right areas. lots of pike.
Have you been out recently? Im going up today, any ideal tactics or lures or bait i should use? Feel free to dm me on instagram--- nstowell14 thanks
Waxies and pink or green small lures worked well for us that day. Crappie minnow's worked a little bit as well.
love lake of the woods, we subbed, sub us back please
