Will Our Rental Bronco Survive Wheeler Lake Trailer?
We discovered hidden gem Wheeler Lake Trail when exploring the beautiful Colorado Rockies in our latest adventure. We rented a Ford Bronco to test it out and see how it compared to our beloved Jeep JL Rubicon. We saw several rigs - with 40" tires and 1-ton axles - taking on Wheeler Lake Trail - do you think our rental Badlands Bronco with the Sasquatch package will make it?

In this trip, we're hanging out with the UltiMaytums on a brisk December weekend at Robbers Cave State Park in Oklahoma. We camped at the Youngers Bend campground on the south end of the park, and spent a full day exploring the Thundering Pines offroad trails. It being December, we enjoyed gorgeous sunshine and some of the best scenery Oklahoma has to offer without a lot of the folks - or side-...

Lakeside in the Ouachita Mountains

On this trip, we visit the northern reaches of Lake Ouachita on Friday October 13th(!) with the UltiMaytums. This campsite was new to our group, but it delivered on spectacular views and relaxation. We did a little exploring around camp, and will definitely be back to continue the adventure! Fall in the Ouachitas Mountains wouldn’t be complete without a few spooky spiders, a cemetery or a visit...

    How was the storage space? Are the easy to get add-ons for camping?

    • @exploration_x
      @exploration_x Месяц назад

      Storage space was as expected for a 4 door SUV - nothing to complain about. I’m still peeved about there only being 2 obvious cup holders- never did find any others.

    Have you deployed this in heavier winds or rain? How does it normally hold up? The floppiness of the sheet makes me thing rainwater will spill all over the place if using it as a shelter.

    • @exploration_x
      @exploration_x Месяц назад

      Kammok’s rating of 25 mph unsupported with poles seems to be accurate; we haven’t been in a rain or wind situation where it felt like poles were needed yet. You can add tension with the awning deployed, which helps out if it seems floppy, but we haven’t had any trouble with rainwater spilling into our space when underneath the awning.

    Hi. I'm considering getting a Kammok Crosswing. Does anyone have one? If so, how do you like it? Did you get the 5 foot or 7 foot version? Also, does it make too much noise when driving? Thx.

    • @exploration_x
      @exploration_x 4 месяца назад

      Ours is the 7 foot version. After about 6 months of having it, I’m extremely satisfied - it’s great to have an awning that can quickly be deployed if a shower pops up or you need to get out of the heat. I haven’t heard any road noise, but it’s (a) attached to our teardrop and (b) we have a fairly loud exhaust on the jeep, so I’m not sure I’d notice any road noise.

    How are you finding the trials in Onx? I am not seeing any of them. Thanks!

    • @exploration_x
      @exploration_x 7 месяцев назад

      I exported them from where they were posted publically on Gaia, and then imported them. They'll all import the same color, so if you use any sort of color scheme to identify trails, you'll have to edit that (which is what I did) None of them are named officially, so all the names you see is how our group named them.

    Spooky spiders 🕷🕷 are awesome😁 That was quite the chopping to get through those logs. It's cool to find these old cemeteries and visit them. We get to wonder about the people in them and their lives lived. Could it be coyote poo? I love your trailer! I look forward to seeing more of your videos😃

      Thank you so much! We hadn’t thought of the coyote poo - my guess was maybe a bobcat.

    • @agesadventures
      @agesadventures 11 месяцев назад

      @@exploration_x I guess it may be bobcat too. I was going to ask cougar as well, but then I looked up where you were and I saw there was talk of reintroducing them, but I wasn't sure if they had done so. It's something that ate that fur and I'd lean towards a canine.
