@onewingedangelthingo Sure, it sounds complicated,but is pretty easy. The bass has 23 frets, but the E string has an extention, a clip you can see on the headstock. The clip on the headstock works as a Capo just for the E string. So it´s pretty much this: Just the E string has a Capo, so if you loose the clip (you push the clip and pull the string down, so the clip will be placed in a hole on the neck) then your E string will turn to D.
